This is a team we should blow out even with our heckle and jeckle way of playing football. So that's what I want to see. I want to see our guys take this game seriously and put it on em.

I want to see our running game with the running backs do well, want Milroe to be on target, want the play calling, defensively and offensively to be the ball.

Then I want to see Ty Simpson in early and actually run the offense.

I would like to see some young pass rushers step up. Ready for Yhonzae Pierre to have a breakout game.

Just get up big early and no injuries

Hate to tell y'all that Mercer is 9-1 and is going to bring everything they have, so this could be more annoying than we thought

Just no injuries. Nothing else matters.

The annoying thing is that Mercer is one of the best teams in FCS play and ranked in the Top 10 of that division. We don't play a team with a losing record again until Auburn - and we all know how that game can go.

Mercer is one of the best teams in FCS and they've been a bit "feisty" with our player's lower extremities in past matchups (from what I remember).

I'm just hoping we can get out to a comfortable lead, pull the starters as early as possible, and avoid major injuries.

A “w”. Consistency!! Play up to our highest level, and not down to Mercer’s.

Sounds like they are a good defensive team. Just win and no injuries.

This team does not run triple option?

They are not a triple option team, but if they've watched the Vandy film, I could see them trying to add some wrinkles.

This is a double-edged sword.

On the one hand, this game may be more difficult than the average cupcake.

On the other hand, this Mercer team is headed to the FCS playoffs, so if we can get ahead early, they're just as likely to pull starters to avoid injuries.

Why would they waste time doing that?

This is a paycheck game and they have already clinched an FCS playoff spot. I wouldn't be surprised if they rest some starters and/or just work on things for their remaining conference game that would guarantee them a bye.

Waste time? You have a game plan for each opponent, which includes different formations/plays based on your opponent's strengths/weaknesses. Why wouldn't they spend time adding in formations/plays to attack a weakness that Vandy exposed?

Doesn't mean they're not going to try and win the game.

I think there's zero chance they're going to hold any healthy starters out of this game. If it gets out of hand early, sure, rest some guys. But you think any starter on Mercer wants to completely sit out? They'll probably tell their kids and grandkids about that time they played against Alabama at BDS

I would like to see the RBs featured more in the run game. I'd like to see some downfield passes to multiple receivers. It wasn't needed against LSU, but Milroe missed on a couple long balls. I would like to see him get back to that some this game and use his legs only if needed.

Be prepared for this to be an uncomfortable game. I would like to believe we can put them away early and let backups play the second half, but I worry about our mindset.

Last time we had a week off and then played very well, we lost focus the following week and got beat by Vandy. I could see something similar happening here to a certain extent -- our guys thinking they've gotten everything figured out and coasting through prep this week while they think about Oklahoma.

Their QB is not a big time runner. If they add in any wrinkles maybe it'll be some trick plays they've used before. Too late in the season to implement even a few plays that's completely out of the norm for your offense

I'm just worried about them trying to hurt our guys.

Auburn always plays above their heads in the Iron Bowl..................when it's played in Auburn. In Tuscaloosa, not so much.

1. Continuation of the performance we saw against LSU.
2. Consistency.
3. Backups get a load of playing time.
