20 targets to one WR is high-level incompetence by the QB, OC, and Head Coach.

Irresponsible and speaks to the gross incompetence in our program. You have offensive skill players who are all 4 and 5 star guys and you target one WR 20 times in one game?! DeBoer and his OC are out of their depth. The DeBoer experience won't end well for us.

We've done the exact thing with Harris while we've got at least 3-4 other guys who are supposedly all world and they don't see the light of day.

They may have done it on purpose …

It's lazy coaching and playing. We are dealing with the same.

Bama has run offenses for a while now that focus on 1-2 key targets in the passing game rather than spreading it around.

That can work fine when those guys are elite. With Williams and Metchie as the top guys or even a Calvin Ridley without a strong second guy Bama could run a strong offense. There's nothing wrong with that.

The issue for Bama this year hasn't been WR's underperforming. It hasn't even been QB play in terms of completions or passing yards. It's been defensive struggles at times and turnover issues on offense (which on occasion has been QB related).

I'm not sure this was what DeBoer and Sheridan intended. In DeBoer's halftime interview he said that he had been talking to Milroe about decision-making. I can guarantee you that Milroe was not told, "I don't care how covered Williams is and how wide open the other receivers are, you throw it to him on every play."

You might want to check how many different receivers he threw too against the Dawgs. It was more than 1 or 2.

Maybe.

If I have Ryan Williams and know he’s got man to man coverage I’m definitely interested in throwing his way outside of the 20’s.

In the red zone not so much, less field to maneuver in.

Bama should just hire Shaft to be the head coach. He always has all the answers.

I saw Sean McDonough say to Greg McElroy that aside from Ryan Williams the other Bama skill players don't look up to the standard at Bama and that SOB McElroy agreed! See this is why I hate the media. They say dumb shite like this even when they know better and idiot fans believe this. Greg McElroy knows better than I what the problem truly is. It's a Milroe and coaching staff issue. Nothing is wrong with our offensive skill players. We have a guy cosplaying at QB, an OC who is not qualified, and a head coach who is a wimp. You run the ball 20 times between two stud RBs?! Gross incompetence! 20 carries between 2 RBs won't even get those guys warmed up. And, then we have a 3rd stud RB, Richard Young, riding the pine. Terrible coaching.

I'm smarter than most but what I'm talking about is common sense. DeBoer is wasting more talent than anything. We are going to start bleeding experienced players b/c they will start leaving due to being misused or not used at all.

Yesterday you were claiming you are right all the time.

Today you are claiming a football coach told their QB to ignore wide open players and focus on a single one.

Dumbass.

I felt LSU was doing that on the defensive side with Harold Perkins. Kept shifting others to put Perkins in the best spot. I think the defense is better now.

Is Williams the youngest player to ever get 20 targets?

It's plain to see it's favoritism going on. DeBoer sold his soul to get Ryan Williams b/c he was the biggest in-state recruit and DeBoer is a newbie to the SEC and the State of Alabama. It was a political move just as much as addressing a recruiting need.

Watch the film and talk to other Bama fans. Yes, Milroe is ignoring wide open receivers.

Tried to warn you

Panic hire

Such a bummer for Bama fans that Lanning turned down the job, but Lanning made the right decision realizing that Oregon has more potential as a school than Bama, who is solely dependent on having the GOAT as coach.
