S. Carolina fans - Is Shane Beamer on the hot seat?

I'll admit he did a lot better than I thought he would the first couple of seasons. But last year was about what I expected. Does he have to have a winning record this year to keep his job? Or is he safe no matter what? I don't pay much attention to Carolina football so I'm genuinely curious as to the expectations this year.

Not a USC fan but judging from their comments on this board post their game Saturday, I'd say Beamer's seat is going up in flames.

People are pretty frustrated quite honestly. If he goes 6-6 it probably buys him another year. With our schedule this year I just don't see 6 wins though. 3 or 4 wins might be too much for him to survive.
It's Year 4 in his tenure and SC looks like the worst team in the conference. That doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the fanbase.

Yes. But Ray Tanner is dumber than bricks so he’s safe unless we go 0-8 in conference

I've always felt Beamer was in over his head. It was a head scratching hire and outside of a two game stretch where Spencer Rattler played out of his mind, it's still a head scratcher.

Beamer is an all emotion very little Xs & O coach. Because of this he will lose games he shouldn’t and win a few games he shouldn’t either. Coaching this way leads to a big snowball effect.

My guess is that he is gone at the end of this season. Recruiting is not going well at all for them.

We're going 3-9 and will likely be winless in SEC play. And some of those losses will be downright embarrassing. If this happens and he isn't fired, there will be a fan revolt the likes of which Columbia hasn't seen.
