Leaving Alabama was the best thing for the Sabans

I wouldn’t have known that was his wife if she was the only one in the picture. They look so much better than the last picture I saw of them in that photo when the new coach was being introduced.

They look 10 years younger. Good for them.

They look great and I hope they are enjoying a much deserved retirement BUT the photo has a glam filter or edited like crazy. You can tell in the over darkened eyes. They didn't magically Benjamin button in the last few months.

And when you get off your back an entire whining, spoiled fanbase that thinks anything less than a Natty is a failure and if you lose 1 or, God forbid, 2 freaking games in a season they want to stone you in the streets... yeah, I said about a years ago, he had finally had enough of that.

They are still very much in Tuscaloosa. I will say, coaching at Bama though is a grind. I remember how much past coaches have aged. It's a premier job but those come with a price. I'll never forget Ara talking about how he literally could not force himself to walk back into the ND facility one morning and decided to call it quits and those were much simpler times.

I'm sure when I retire (very soon if all works out) I will enjoy myself so much more too. After 37 years of doing what I do it's time to let some young buck handle this.
