When was JJ a Heisman finalist?

That aside, good for him doing well in the Cartel leagues.

Ha! He was on a ton of preseason heisman lists heading into 2015.

Hilarious in retrospect seeing some of these names surrounding him

FR

Guy had all the ability in the world but just put too much pressure on himself. Damn shame.

I remember the usual suspects calling for Nick Marshall’s head so JJ could start

He had a lot of athletic ability which did not translate into skill at his position.

I'm happy for JJ. Always seemed like a good kid. Just wasn't' cut out for being an SEC QB...at least not back then anyway. I'm glad he's still playing ball and kicking arse in that league.

I doubt he faced the degree of competition in Mexico that he had in the SEC

It must be the Tequila.

Reality he was probably a late bloomer to the large crowd and spotlight. Some people can not handle the big stage. Not to mention lack of coaching from Gus.

I think he might make a good coach. He mentioned that's what he wants to do.

Glad he is having success and will be interesting to see where he goes as a coach

How do you have 32 TD on less than 2,500 yards?

Do they have shorter fields?
