No Von Miller?

List is crap.

(Yes, people. I know.)

They put cam over Joe to avoid accusations of favoritism for sure.

Tebow, Cam and Burrow at top.

Really though, Tebow because of his entire body of work compared to their careers which had only one stellar season each.

I would also add Eric Berry. Best DB at Tennessee in a long long time. Almost killed UGA's Moreno with a vicious hit.

disagree

Burrow #1

Cam had less help but he also played before anyone knew how to defense a zone read or spread offense.

I think Henry is overrated. I am more impressed with Devonta Smith but the only option at Bama and still having an insane year than a guy who got 395 carries.

If you are going to be a homer and add a second LSU player take someone a little more decorated like Glen Dorsey.

But McFadden should be in over both if you were objective about it. Doak Walker, Jim Brown Trophy, All American and SEC Offensive Player of the year. 2 times for all 4 of those. 1st team SEC 3 years

1. Burrow
2. Honey Badger

You can mix and match the rest.

I can get with the top 4 but Mathieu is laughable.

Just off the top of my head i would go Mcfadden, Gurley, Chubb, Bowers any number of players could replace Mathieu.

If my eyes rolled any harder they'd roll out of my head.

They need to stick to just commenting on LSU and doing ads for gumbo restaurants and insurance agents in Baton Rouge on their 100 watt local radio station.

Better yet, just stick to giving weather updates every 15 minutes and giving LSU softball scores.

David Pollack is probably the most decorated defensive player during that timeframe:

Chuck Bednarik Award (2004)
Lott Trophy (2004)
Lombardi Award (2004)
2× Ted Hendricks Award (2003, 2004)
3x All-American (2002, 2003, 2004)
2× SEC Defensive Player of the Year (2002, 2004)
3× First-team All-SEC (2002, 2003, 2004)

36 career sacks, 58.5 TFL, 3 blocked punts. All UGA career records.

People have short memories about Tyrann Mathieu.

Go watch his highlights again, no one has come close to him in the decade since.

Not a terrible list. The first four were exactly who I thought of when I read the thread title, but maybe not in that exact order.

I had Manziel at 5th instead of the Honey Badger, though.

You people in this thread clearly don’t remember Mathieu in 2011. The guy forced 6 fumbles, recovered 5 and had 4 TDs along with several other huge returns or picks that he almost took all the way. He was absolutely dominant

McFadden should be their way before Derrick Henry. He’s only there because of the team he played for.
