Aluminum Climb Stand

Posted by bigtiger440 on 11/24/25 at 10:48 am
Hey Guys, my son is wanting a new aluminum climb stand for Christmas.

Please post links to any screaming deals if you run across any this week during the black Friday sales.

He is wanting a summit viper but i'm looking for a good deal so any reputable brand is ok by me.

Thanks in advance.
I’m not sure where you are located but in north Alabama we have a lot of hills and hollers and I prefer to hunt sitting right up next to a tree on public land. I find a high spot and get sit down, it makes for easy moving when someone inevitably someone walks up the same trail. When I was younger I have used climb stand on public but not anymore too much trouble.

When we hunt our hunting lease that is a different story. My son uses a saddle and loves it, he is 6-1 180.

lol how the tables have turned. Y’all were hollering “stop whining “ when Auburn was complaining about refs. It doesn’t feel good when refs hurt your team with their calls!
That tough man, my oldest son has had similar issues. We have tried to help him but there is no helping someone who doesn’t want it. He has been in and out of rehab and/or jail for 2 years. I’ve realized that people with their issues tell you what they think you want to hear.

I’ve had to cut him off financially until he decides to help himself. I’ve talked to several people who have children with these issues and they all tell me the same thing “they have to want help”. I just hope he figures out before it is too late.
Just curious, how many coaches did Ole Piss have while Tuberville was at Auburn?

dk but that chili Cheese burrito is Bus’n

I like it but it isn’t as good as the original.

Nothing like leaving football practice in the 90s and hitting Taco Bell for 5 chili cheese burritos and a large mt dew all for under $5. My buddies and I were daily visitors. That was before my metabolism went to the store for milk.

Why don’t Daniels get a shot, I know he is not Cam Newton returned but his highlights make him look like a competent QB.

With a that we win the last three weeks.

Talladega Superspeedway this Weekend - Check In

Heck no, i live 20 mins from Talladega and i avoid that place like the plague on race weekend. The whole area will be overrun by 150,000 drunks who think they are Jeff Gordon.
When my wife started in the insurance biz her first boss had 2 grown kids. His daughter who went to med school and is a surgeon in Atlanta. His son was a druggie and was in and out of jail. He did start going to church and changed his life but died from a heart attack shortly after due to the damage done to his heart.

How old are you? Once a person hits early to mid 40’s iron sights don’t work well.Eyes lose the ability to focus on 3 things-rear sight, front sight and target.Peep sights work better as only have to focus on front sight and target. If one is nearsighted they don’t work well. My wife shoots a Marlin .30-30,I put a Leupold VX3,2 1/2x8 power scope on it. She’s made a good many 1 shot kills, furtherest 165 yds. Best deer mounted on our wall she killed,11 pt.-1 shot, dropped him in his tracks at 100 yds.

I’m 44, luckily I don’t have an eyesight problem presently. I have plenty of other rifles if I need them. The distance issue only presents a problem in certain stand on our club, if I’m sitting in a stand over a couple acre green field the I grab the 30-30 or 44. If I’m hunting in cutover then I grab something with a scope on it.

Hopefully I have a few more years before the bad eyesight hits me. When the time comes I guess my sons will get a few lever guns.

Was recently gifted a Rem/Marlin 336y 30-30. It is topped with a super cheap scope that probably isn't suitable for even a pellet gun. My just remove the scope and keep it w/open sights.

I have several lever guns (30-30 Win, 44mag, .22 mag and 22LR) i just have iron sights on all of them. You can't beat the feel of shooting a lever with iron sights. I hunt with the 30-30 and the 44 mag, i feel comfortable shooting deer with both around 100-150 yards. I have high powered rifles depending on what stand i'm hunting out of but that feeling of smoking a doe at 75 yards with the old 30-30, you can't beat it.
