Before Mike Leach passed, I believe he set up some cadet schools at Miss State and Washington State. Did they get to compete?

As he said, upper classmen who have signed contracts are just as committed as a West Point cadet at that stage.

LOL what a total joke.

If you graduate from West Point, you are obligated to serve at least five years of active duty.

Meanwhile, over in fairy costume land at A&M, only about 45% of the "Corp" goes on to serve. Meaning OVER HALF OF THE CORP ARE IN COSPLAY.

Never change, aggy.

Here are some that represent a program that is ongoing at UTrans today. Can you explain what they are all about xwing/rancho/shaveshisbush/kenny?

As you are when you sign an ROTC contract. No difference.

That’s fair, and I have no problem with pointing that out.

I do object to using that to disparage the ones who do make the commitment.

However, it was unnecessary as the snippet OP actually posted said right up top that A&M won the ROTC Cup and then clearly stated that A&M finished 4th in the overall competition at the bottom of the snippet.

All true, but the thread title would be read by 99 people out of 100 that A&M categorically beat West Point, especially since even people, like myself, who are more familiar with West Point would not even know they had multiple teams.

It’s a shite thread title, and the OP deserves all the grief he’s getting.

Of the 9 seniors graduating in my class, 2 were direct commission, 5 were in the National guard (including a general and 2 full birds), 1 went Air force OCS and the other 1 was OCS Army.

You consider 7 of this group as "cosplay"

Aggy surges ahead in the homoerotic pics contest by 4 images. Claims the lead, for now.

Their all American poster, Buster83 is their go-to guy when fake sarge isn’t around.

Aggy's incessant need to talk shite about the other service academies is bizarre and cringe. Like they actually think they're a better institution; or that the actual service academies know they exist.

Speaking of which...

Did the Aggies beat out the West Point in New York or is that one that is in Virginia?

You do realize that every ROTC program is capped by law of the total number of cadets they are allowed to commission, right?

The combined number of ROTC cadets that commission NATIONWIDE can only exceed the senior class at the equivalent academy by a margin of 5-1.

That means that, using the Army as an example, approximately 4,000-5,000 ROTC cadets can commission every year. That's the TOTAL number including every ROTC program in the country.

My year group (YG2000) had 55 Army Lieutenants commission between the December and May graduations that academic year.

Percentage-wise, that comes out to over 1% of the entire nationwide ROTC cadet allocation that year.

You should not be talking about sending teams anywhere.

Your football team would get lost on the way to Atlanta. Never been there for the SECcg.
