I don’t know why anyone argues about this stuff rather than simply ignoring it or tipping their hat to everyone involved.
In a time when the military is struggling to meet quotas—at least of acceptable, non-dress wearing soldiers—I’m just glad to see good kids involved.
Sometimes people suck.

I say this not to insult or mock you... I will leave that to others... but would you like to know who really won that competition? The US Military Academy Black team took home the title after edging out the Royal Military College of Canada. After them was the Air Force Academy and then the Aggies. You guys came out on top of the ROTC competition. As you may, or may not, know Army Cadets aren't ROTC. You did beat the various "company" teams competing for the USMA which is impressive but if you are on one of the company teams at the USMA its because you couldn't qualify for the very best team at West Point. So, congratulations on losing to Army, Air Force, and the Canucks.

How so? The university has reported exactly what Arksulli said.

In addition to winning the ROTC Cup, the Texas A&M team placed fourth in the overall international competition for the second year in a row.
Texas A&M Today
Cadet Nicholas Nolan, captain of the Texas A&M University Army ROTC team, speaks with his teammates after finishing the Sandhurst Military Skills Competition, in West Point, New York, on April 27, 2024. Texas A&M University won the Army ROTC Cup and placed fourth out of 48 teams, including U.S. service academies, Army ROTC programs and international teams, in the overall competition. They may have beaten one of the two USMA teams, but it’s pretty disingenuous to frame it the way the OP did. USMA Black outscored A&M by a pretty wide margin.
I’m not sure if Black is the “A” Team and Gold is the “B” team, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
Still a great accomplishment, but keep it real.

You do realize that you just wrote a book to basically agree with him, right?
Well, not really.
As he said, upper classmen who have signed contracts are just as committed as a West Point cadet at that stage.

EKG,
Why do you do this to yourself?
Are you willfully ignorant of the OP title?
You’re not this way on the Poli, just the secR. Not sure why.

I was referring to what was reported by Texas A&M University, not by the OP (I didn’t read OP’s post).
If he was insincere and intentionally mischaracterized the results, that’s weak.

So you beat the high school of the Hudson....bfd

Hmm. You clicked on Op and didn’t read OP’s post.

The title of this thread is lame; I agree.
My response was referencing the actual results, not the troll attempt.
I should’ve kept my mouth shut.

Not to be that guy, but technically West Point cadets aren't ROTC.

West Point is too busy teaching cadets about cross-dressing.
FFS. (ETA: This is aimed at the event, not the post.)
It sucks that the cadets (and all in uniform, for that matter) are subject to the idiocy that emanates from the civilian leadership.
They are just pawns in these people’s bullshite games.

It is still a thing - it is a systemic problem with the people in leadership. It is a thing. Quit acting like it isn't

Take all the shots at A&M that you want. We invite it, if I’m honest (and as the OP demonstrates).
When it comes to the academies, where every single cadet (at least, once they are in their third years) has signed up to defend your arse, let’s leave the snark at the door.
It’s a more demanding place than most here have any idea of, and it comes with a price.

Where did I say otherwise? I specifically called out the leadership.
It’s fair to say that the brass are complicit, but the political dimensions of having a star are huge. You generally don’t get those by telling the civilian leadership to pound sand.

By coming AT me with "FFS"
It is a thing... and it comes from the Commander in Chief and the cross-dressers he had installed in military leadership. It is a thing. Complain about them. Not my posting it

Ah. I see the disconnect.
My “FFS” was not aimed at you. It was the event.
My apologies.
