I think these lists are bs. There is no difference in the quality of an education received at LSU vs Ole Miss vs Mississippi State.

I love how #1 had one of the biggest Hamas rallies in the country. Sounds like some quality graduates are gonna come out of that place.

This is a proper response from someone whose school didn’t crack the large list, despite having every other conference school on the list. It’s pretty embarrassing that there is one school, one school only, that didn’t make it. Reputation is everything.

It's the truth. You can't just make a list like this without statistics to back up your criteria. If you think UGA is some superior academic institution then you are gravely mistaken.

Not to mention, if you are going to compare the resumes of an LSU graduate and an Ole Miss or Alabama graduate applying for the same job, you're not going to choose one based on where they attended college.

Best bang for your buck

These rankings always crack me up, unless you're in a niche program/major, a business degree pulls the same weight at all these schools.

In addition to its sitting pretty at the top spot for Best Public Colleges in America, UCLA comes in at #1 for Best College Campuses in America and Best College Food. With just over 31,000 students and a low acceptance rate, getting into UCLA is an accomplishment in itself. The school offers more than 125 majors to choose from, with economics and political science as two of the most popular. Campus life includes proximity to all the Los Angeles lifestyle has to offer, as well as plenty of student organizations, clubs, and sports.

So UCLA is rated #1 because it was #1 in a different poll and they have the best college food?

#19. Texas A&M University

- Location: College Station, TX
- Students: 49,442

Not really sure where they are getting their information but A&M is over 70,000 students. We have not been under 50,000 for over a decade.

Title of the article but they do not tell you what the "data" is.

Don't blindly believe everything you read or the other idiots post on this site.

No one thinks this. In fact, when I taught PhD students at Yale, the two SEC students I had (one of whom attended UGA) were leaps and bounds behind the others. Just because you raise admission requirements =/= the university being an elite academic institution. A SWAC school could require a 30 on the ACT if they wanted to.

You can get a great education or just skate by at most universities. I know smart people who flunked out of junior college and stupid people who have Ivy League degrees.

Total student enrollment including graduate and PhD level has been over 70,000. Undergrad is about 60K as of the latest A&M info.

I like Ol Miss. The two times Mizzou went there and kicked the absolute dogshit out of them, were great times.

That list is garbage. Where I live, the private school kids that can't get into good schools go to Ol Miss.

You might want to do some research of your own.

The AAU represents the most prestigious research universities in North America.

Hopefully a lot of these lists, at least the ones backed up with real data, will be reshuffled when all the DEI BS, equity grade inflation, and willingness to tolerate terrorists and virulent anti Semitism are taken into consideration.
