Really enjoyed Saban as an analyst during the draft last night

Much different perspective then the panel of Herbstreit,D Howard etc . Guess that's why he was hired. Enjoyed the honest assessments he gave and was brutal on a few especially on Mims from UGA. Sure there are former coaches as Analyst but how many former HC's accomplished what Saban did? I think Saban will be a great addition to Gameday.

Listening to people who are intelligent, accomplished, and don’t shy away from the truth are the best to listen to.

I agree. I thought Coach Saban was a welcome addition to the broadcast. Appreciated his honest insight.

I agree. There were some stilted hand-offs between the panel members, but I thought Saban was the best by far in terms of football insights and going over the strengths and weaknesses of each player.

I especially liked the part where he blatantly admitted to tampering

Coach has always been the smartest guy in the room. And the smartest coach on the sidelines. ESPN/ABC better be careful, people will stop watching if they actually give fans something to think about.

Once he gets the timing down and learns how to condense his comments into 10-second bites he'll be smoother in a media sense, because you can tell when a subject comes up that he's interested in (especially from a technical standpoint), he could talk about it for an hour.
While he's still around and able, I really hope someone is recording all of his stories and anecdotes from the past 50 years.
Can you imagine being a fly on the wall in the Cleveland Browns organization when he was Belichick's DC, just listening to the concepts they discussed back in the early 90s?

Its much more in depth. here's his good points, here's where he needs work. When he went on the spill about the O-line being the most important spot, he was spot on.

You don't need kids to enter the transfer portal if you are tampering.
You only need them to enter the transfer portal if you want to talk to them.

What also helped him last night is he coached against and/or recruited almost all of the guys drafted last night, so he had insight no one else could really have on those guys

He said Mims wasn't actually hurt this year and was faking his injuries. He said that he took himself out of the SECCG and implied he was fine to keep playing but chose to pretend he was hurt.
I'm not sure if it is true or not but that's a pretty fricked up thing to say unless he knows that for sure.
