Rank your school's rivals

As many or as few (LSU) as you believe there to be - I'm curious what the Rant says.
For Mizzou:
1. Kansas: our only true, mutual, good ol' fashioned hate-filled rivalry. History that extends way beyond and before football or basketball. If these schools didn't play each other for a millennia, they would still hate each other more than anyone else.
2. Nebraska: a much bigger deal to Mizzou fans than to Nebraska fans, and the rivalry fades every year that we don't play each other. But back in the Big Eight, this was the game that got circled on the calendar, and usually ended very poorly for the Tigers.
3. Oklahoma: a much, much bigger deal to Mizzou than to OU. But they beat us so mercilessly for so many years that we get pretty excited when they come to Columbia. Probably much the way Mississippi State feels about Alabama.
4. Iowa State: a lopsided rivalry in our favor, but always a pretty friendly rivalry game with a fun little trophy.
5. Arkansas: this rivalry is budding. It will continue to climb the ladder since we no longer play any of the above teams annually (although OU is coming back).
6. Illinois: an annual hoops rivalry. The St. Louis metro has a good mix of Mizzou and Illinois fans, so this rivalry does have some meaning on the eastern side of the state. Has the makings for a football rivalry too, but they always quit playing us after we beat them too many seasons in a row.
7. Kansas State: there is mild dislike between these schools and a lot of history, but we also have an enemy of my enemy is my friend thing going with them thanks to KU.

I’d move Illinois up.
I don’t ever think much of Nebraska but I remember in 02 or 03 we broke a 20 game losing streak to them and their fans proceeded to vandalize everything they saw. It must have meant something to them then.
Kentucky has been our best SEC on-field rival with some really great football games. They’re also a blue school that starts with a K and loves hoops.
Arkansas makes for great Black Fridays.

It's us against the world.
They all hate us because they're not us.
However, it's still primarily Auburn.

No one cares.
I bet the list is full of teams that aren’t or weren’t in the sec.
Good try in getting us to care about your big12 and big ten rivals.

Bookmarked for the poster that gets madder than a cricket hornet when you reveal this truth.

We have no equals and no real rivals imo.
I still hate Auburn and Tennessee though and hope they all die in a fire.

looks like you are in the wrong conference.. perhaps the B1G or Big 12 would be a better fit for you..

1. tx
2. Nebraska (would give anything for this rivalry to be played regularly OOC)
Huge drop off
3. OSU
4. MizzOU - actually really looking forward to this starting back up.

For Mizzou I'd move Arky up to #2 and Illinois to #3.
As for NU and OU, it's been more of a hammer/nail rivalry historically, but going forward it could be more interesting with that sweet sweet SEC revenue. Mizzou should already be on even ground with NU. Will need to keep building to ever get and stay close to OU's level. Still recovering from Babs Uehling trying to kill the football program in the 1980s.
Just don't care about about ISU or KSU, never considered them rivals even back in the Big 8 days.

A&M's rivals (t.u., LSU, and Arkansas) are indeed rank.

Not even trolling.
This might be the best for them.
A 64 team, four league super conference with two divisions each.
Mizzy fits in well with the big16 west perfectly.

Currently
1. Oklahoma
2. Texas A&M
3. Arkansas
But I think the LSU rivalry will heat up pretty quick. Between football and baseball, I'm interested to see where it goes in the next 20 years.
I think Tennessee could be a fun one as well.. especially if we steal Vitello.

I’m always nervous when LSU plays Arkansas because they usually have nothing to play for so they’re loose and those frickers pull out the win when we’re least expecting it
.
It’s always nice to beat Ole Miss and Florida. Also enjoy beating up on Texas A&M but mostly just because of the shite their fans talk on here (I’m sure most of them are actually good, decent people in real life). Of course, the few times we’ve beaten Bama over the past nearly 20 years were always season highlights because Saban chose to leave us but that luster will be gone now. I actually hate that Saban retired, that’s going to suck the fun out of college football in my opinion.

Agreed! I’m looking forward to the Texas games very much. They’re going to be absolute battles on both sides.

For Oklahoma:
Texas
(Once upon a time Nebraska).
Oklahoma State
I hope the SEC will let us play Arkansas with some regularity because it will become a rivalry real quick. Arkansas fans already hate OU... and once they get the OU fans attention.... it will be reciprocated.
Potential rivalries...
Missouri. Wasn't one in the Big 8/12 because OU won too much. But Missouri is getting better and the recent recruiting battles/player swiping by Mizzou is heating things up.
ATM. As the OP said... like Missouri's dynamic with K-State... OU had that enemy of my enemy is my friend dynamic going while they both were in the Big XII. But A&M and OU have developed a recruiting rivalry lately... and A&M has too many fans like Colorado Ag is on here for there not to be a potentially salty rivalry.
LSU. OU fans do not like LSU fans of the New Orleans variety and still talk about rough treatment back in the day at the Sugar Bowl. However, we hear that LSU peeps are much friendlier in BR. If so, I'm not sure this will get terribly heated. If not... it is likely to be a pretty bitter rivalry. Especially if they continue to have that be the season ending game.
And you never know... once the SEC solidifies the schedule maybe another team and fan base will develop a rivalry with Oklahoma. I know our fans are really looking forward to playing SEC teams and experiencing the environments.
