Is this where we pretend that none of us care about women's basketball and ask "who is this"?

Strange decision.

Not sure she had any other choice. I don’t think she would ahbe been eligible to play if she did stay. Or they would have had to change some grades for her to be eligible. I don’t think she was even going to class anymore this semester.

Angel Reese Is Taking Her Talents to the WNBA

More people watched her play Vandy in Nashville than will watch her on a typical night in an WNBA arena.

No, it would be wrong to say we don’t care about women’s basketball. You clearly care a great deal about it.

I am guessing the LSU administration is not very sad to see her leave. She seems to be a magnet for controversy and negative press.

Sadly this is probably correct.

Good to see that Vogue broke the story, likely with Reese’s blessing.

Vogue never sexualizes anything.

Do you think a kid playing in her last college game and losing that game wouldn’t have emotion afterwards? C’mon man, it meant something to the kid. It’s no more or less than that. She learned a lot about the price of fame and all that comes with it this past year.

Some people handle it a lot better, Clark seemed to take a worse level of loss in the Champ game better and refocused and came back. Meanwhile, some people are drama no matter if they win or lose.

Seems like a dumb move to leave college early when you are this in the public eye.

Angel Reese is primarily known for begging for attention from Caitlin Clark. Hard to do if they aren't in the same league.

She has millions of followers on IG and TikTok.

Do you think Livvy Dunne isn’t a household name?

Dylan Mulvaney has 1.7 million followers on instagram and he can't get a job now. Just because someone clicked "follow" in a whim a year ago does not mean you are perpetually famous. Throw in the bots and you have a lot of "who gives a frick about your followers on instagram"

You sound like a 13 year old girl explaining why some wannabe trans person is so influential

Firstly, your problem with Dylan Mulvaney is precisely the fact that (s)he gets plastered in front of your face against your will by corporations. You may not like it, but posting to legions of morons online pays some folks a good bit more than it does you

Secondly, Angel’s top-shelf NIL money during college was much less contingent on NCAA basketball viewership (which is dogshit except for the few uber-hyped matchups) as it was her social media following to which she can directly advertise. She doesn’t have “meaningless followers” — she made millions in college because of them.
