With all due respect, all are upgrades from last year’s roster departures at guard. You need really good defensive and cat quick guards to compete for championships. CKM talked about missing a guard like Lex all season. Now she has 2-3 of them. Great additions!...

OU had 3 or 4 falls on their vaults, which was the first event. They started 1.4 points behind after the first rotation. They needed a lot of help to recover from that against elite competition. Here’s a list of the assist leaders this season. It’s a lot easier to get assists on a team with spot up shooters such as Iowa. Note that no S Carolina PG is on the list yet they share the ball well on a team filled with scorers.

At LSU, she would be surrounded by several talented shot makers not just one, which will help open up her offensive game as well. A lot of great passes don’t always turn into an assist. Check out the assist leaders list this season. The national champions do NOT have a player on the list.

You would be amazed at how a player’s assists per game can improve when they are surrounded by great talent. Olsen had to put up a lot of shots at NOVA in order for them to be competitive just like Clark had to do at Iowa....

To be clear, we had a starting 5 of players who are all technically volume scorers. They altered their game to play collectively as a super team at LSU. Angel, Nees, HVL, Flau’jae and MK…are you kidding me?...

LSU made it to the Elite 8 with 5 volume scorers this year and a very limited bench. The very limited bench production and the lack of a true PG killed this year’s team. Defense will always be important, but think about Raven. Whenever S Carolina needed a big bucket against LSU, she either took HVL off the dribble and scored or spotted up to nail a 3. It’s not about adding a player with a high PPG to the team. You need scorers at every position to beat S. Carolina and other top teams these days. No, I was not one of them and there’s a big difference between the two players. HVL came to LSU as a shooting guard, and Olsen is a point guard. Based on the film, this kid is much quicker than HVL with way better handles. Olsen is a true PG with great offensive skills....
