re: Nice additions for Mulkey!

With all due respect, all are upgrades from last year’s roster departures at guard. You need really good defensive and cat quick guards to compete for championships. CKM talked about missing a guard like Lex all season. Now she has 2-3 of them. Great additions!...

OU had 3 or 4 falls on their vaults, which was the first event. They started 1.4 points behind after the first rotation. They needed a lot of help to recover from that against elite competition. Also, their coach made the officials tighten the beam before starting their routines. Just wasn’t in the ...
Here’s a list of the assist leaders this season. It’s a lot easier to get assists on a team with spot up shooters such as Iowa. Note that no S Carolina PG is on the list yet they share the ball well on a team filled with scorers. https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/stats/player/_/table...
At LSU, she would be surrounded by several talented shot makers not just one, which will help open up her offensive game as well. A lot of great passes don’t always turn into an assist. Check out the assist leaders list this season. The national champions do NOT have a player on the list. https:...
You would be amazed at how a player’s assists per game can improve when they are surrounded by great talent. Olsen had to put up a lot of shots at NOVA in order for them to be competitive just like Clark had to do at Iowa....
To be clear, we had a starting 5 of players who are all technically volume scorers. They altered their game to play collectively as a super team at LSU. Angel, Nees, HVL, Flau’jae and MK…are you kidding me?...

Please tell me that you’re kidding about recruits/transfers hearing something new about CKM in the press. Those rumors with zero substance have always been out there. Nothing new there. She played the media like a fiddle. As for silent commitments, what about recent ones like 5 star Bella Hines f...

All the best to Nae going forward. All these moves speaks to silent commitments that CKM has in her pocket. She’s focused on winning it all, and she knows what she needs to get back to the mountaintop. Looking forward to the great reveal....
LSU made it to the Elite 8 with 5 volume scorers this year and a very limited bench. The very limited bench production and the lack of a true PG killed this year’s team. If LSU takes the next step with a deeper roster of players capable of hurting you offensively, then they will have the right balan...
Defense will always be important, but think about Raven. Whenever S Carolina needed a big bucket against LSU, she either took HVL off the dribble and scored or spotted up to nail a 3. Again, you need several players who are capable of getting big baskets on the floor NOT just 2-3 players. Any one of...
She would be a complementary piece to the puzzle. She wouldn’t have to average 23 ppg either, but it’s nice to have a PG who’s very capable of getting you buckets when you need them. Think of Alexis Morris in the NCG against Iowa in the 4Q. She took over the game as a PG with her mid range game to b...
I’ll trust CKM on this one per usual....
It’s not about adding a player with a high PPG to the team. You need scorers at every position to beat S. Carolina and other top teams these days. There are too many variables in a basketball game such foul trouble, injuries, and poor shooting performances/an off night etc. What makes S Carolina so...
Yes, she is. There’s chatter on Twitter/X that CKM has contacted her....
BTW, she was the nation’s third leading scorer in the 2023-24 season. https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/stats...
No, I was not one of them and there’s a big difference between the two players. HVL came to LSU as a shooting guard, and Olsen is a point guard. Based on the film, this kid is much quicker than HVL with way better handles. Olsen is a true PG with great offensive skills....

LSU WBB’s next PG should be Lucy Olsen

Posted by TFangs on 4/10/24 at 8:55 pm
She is exactly what CKM needs for next year’s team. A true PG with offensive skills. Olsen can spot up, create off the dribble or drain a 3. The kid is cat quick too. Check out her highlights from this season at Villanova. Wow! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_19gUZvaMQM ...
I just viewed her highlights from this season. She has a face up game at all 3 levels, strength, athleticism, and speed. She’s just the type of player that we need in the post to takeover NCAA WBB. You need bigs who can force teams to defend them away from the basket, because they have to respect he...

re: Yeskie past his prime

It’s the players job to execute the game plan. The pitching staff has to meet the moment and compete at a very high level, and they haven’t done that with the level of consistency needed so far, especially in SEC play. That coupled with costly defensive errors almost every game. They will get every ...
