SI is reporting “There are behind the scenes talk with @ESPN, @FoxSports, the #B1G and #SEC reps about how to dump those schools who bring nothing to the TV table.“

Mizzou and SCar. There a legitimately times I forget South Carolina as a team exists they are mentioned so little.

Mississippi State is a founding member of the SEC, but I don’t think that would matter when money is the driving factor.

Arkansas is safe.
Even when we’re awful, it’s usually still entertaining for the rest of y’all to watch.

I think this is stupid for a variety of reasons, but even if it were just money, there are NFL teams that don't bring the eyeballs to a TV that currently lower tier SEC teams do.
College sports is more than just ratings or the flavor of the week to the people that follow it. If they keep fricking with what isn't broke, they will break the machine for real.

I hope you’re right.

Don't think dumping USC makes sense if we're talking TV markets.

I'd keep SCar. Flagship school, Loyal fans, not turds like Clemson.

If they’re considering 86’ing teams from both the SEC and B1G…they ought to at least make it entertaining by possibly having the bottom dwellers face off in some kind of “bracket” seeding matchup elimination concept.
Like:
Northwestern vs Vandy
Rutgers vs Miss State
Illinois vs S. Carolina
And maybe a good ‘ol fashioned “Border-Brawl” between:
Missouri vs Iowa

Looks like ole Miss, Miss. state and Vandy are goners.

Good. Networks shouldn’t be paying tens of millions to conferences if half the games won’t have the viewers to justify it.
Bring in Clemson, FSU and kick out the scrubs to the Big12 or G5. Tradition and rivalries just aren’t a big deal. Money matters. That’s capitalism
