Since you mentioned Kansas State.......they owned Texas up to about 7 years ago when they led the series with the Longhorns, 10-7. UTx has won 7 in a row to now lead 14-10, but it hasn't been overwhelmingly convincing.

Most of the SEC would beat Kansas State.......series-wise, they trail Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt. Yes, VANDERBILT!!

Kansas State is tied with Arkansas, LSU, Mississippi State and Texas A&M. They lead only Tennessee in a single game played. They've never played Georgia or Ole Miss, both of which would beat the tar out of K-State.

If K-State, one of the upper echelon programs of the Big 12, has been roundly beaten by nearly all of the SEC, then how could the "rest of the SEC by like the Big 12" ?

First off, ignore the trolls. No graduate of the University of Texas thinks we will steamroll the SEC.

I have tremendous respect for UGA and Bama. LSU, Mizzou and Ole Miss would be tough games for anyone this season.

This is where you're misjudging things.

Take Miss State; generally not a good record. You're gonna beat them. But State tends to be a very physical team, and you're gonna come away with some bumps and bruises. Auburn and Florida, even when down, will also bang away at you.
These are the games that cost you later, because you're not fully healthy when you play a bigger game later.

Year in and year out, is Miss State better than Okie Lite? I don't think so.

Again, the SEC is a much better total conference. That is because of the upper 1/3 of the conference.

After what? Two or three years of listening to this crap, I'm just glad that we are now about six months from actually playing games.

And sorry SEC fans... the schedule makers gave Texas a schedule where they have an opportunity to waltz to the SEC championship game. They only have one game against somebody clearly better than they are (Georgia) and they have them at home. They have a talent advantage against all their other SEC opponents. And the ones where it is close (OU,LSU, ATM, UF) they have a huge advantage at QB.

Have you not seen their schedule for their first year in the SEC? Aside from Georgia it’s a joke!

No LSU, Tennessee, Bama, mizzou, Ole Miss or Auburn. They avoided all of the good ones.

An OU fan with the same ignorance as the UT fans. It's not the fricking big 12 where you can relax and play one game (UT-OU) all year. What you guys dont get is how hard it is to give 110% in a game like you did last year beating Texas, then the VERY NEXT WEEK, have to go on the road and play somebody like Florida in the swamp in front of 100k screaming fans, even though they may be 3-4 at the time. And then the NEXT WEEK, go play at Tiger stadium with another 100k fans, then even the next week play at MSU and guess what? They've got 100k cowbells and are playing like this is their superbowl. etc etc etc. It just doesn't stop, and there is no comparison to any season you have experienced before.

It might be easy for SEC standards but compared to the big 12 schedule they are used to it will be a shock

You think Arkansas, Vandy, Kentucky and miss state are better than OK State, K State, Kansas and Iowa State?

Interesting

Half of the teams you listed are a joke.

As far as the ones that aren't:

Texas beat Alabama last year in Tuscaloosa, and nearly upset them with a back up QB in 2022.

Ole Miss is a great team I would've loved to see that game this year.

The rest are just over hyped. Tennessee, LSU (fraud until they prove they have a defense, then we can revisit), Mizzou (historically own them and struggled against tOSU third string QB) and Auburn ( New Mexico State).

I personally think Kentucky will be better than several of the teams you listed this year.

Kentucky is most certainly not a better team in 2024 than LSU mizzou or Tennessee. Maybe Auburn? But still the whole point was that Texas isn’t playing the historical powers of the SEC in year one. They drew a soft schedule and anyone who actually knows southern football knows it.

Go back to the SWC where you can call the shots

That's not what you shitbirds on here are always yammering at Georgia regarding their yearly schedule in the East. You change your talking points based upon who you're talking to like clowns, hoping nobody notices.

Wait… Texas had a tougher schedule than all but 2 SEC teams last year, and it was only one game long?

Man, I sure am happy and relieved Texas is coming to such an easier league that provides a schedule easier than one game per season!
