lmao most of the fans, including myself, couldn't care less about that stupid horns down. We love it. Nothing is funnier than seeing fans on tv doing it when not even playing us. #rentfree my friend. #rentfree.

SEC Big 6 - Which teams really belong in the top 6 of the new SEC power rankings?
Those which have won bona fide SEC championships in football since integration:
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
LSU
Tennessee

You can repeat this until you’re blue in the face, but some sec fan that rides on the shoulders of Alabama and Georgia will tell you that you don’t know your own feelings or your own fanbase’s feelings on the matter

This.
What you’ve done in previous conferences is irrelevant.

Big talk from a fan of a team that avoided LSU for 40 years.
LSU is 10-10-1 vs UTx & OU.

SEC Big 6
You need to avoid this subject. “Big 6” is the historical teams winning the most SEC championships and bringing the most natties to the conference.
Even if you Texas or OK go crazy once they get here, it would still take 10 years to enter the Big 6 conversation.

As of next year we’ll have a “Historical Big 6” and nothing will ever change that.
We’ll also have a modern “Big 8”. Texas and Oklahoma are obviously top tier programs. Heck Oklahoma will come in and automatically be the #2 historical program in the league. Texas more like 5th or 6th.
The Big 8 will be a thing starting this Fall

Y'all had a heisman QB this year and the only P5 opponent you beat by 3 TDs in BR was Auburn (who lost to NM State).

Another dummy who doesn't understand how the Big 6 works.

If the big 6 had anything to do with basketball, Arkansas, Kentucky and Vanderbilt would be in there

So if were just going off football, please explain how 5 years ago is recent?

For 2023....in order......
1. Georgia
2. Alabama
3. Missouri
4. Ole Miss
5. LSU
6. Texas (pansy Big 12 schedule, crushed by Washington -- doesn't bode well for future SEC greatness)

another stupid thread started by another stupid Texas alter.. maybe one day we will get some good alters
As for the Big 6, I have no problems with Texas being outside this special kids group. That being said, I do believe that the whole thing will be kind of stupid 20 years from now.
If Texas (or any of the others outside the Big 6) wins a NC in the next 20 years, but doesn't win the SEC, it seems like that list would be kind of stupid. On that topic, Texas did win the NC in 2005, which is more recent than TN & Oklahoma, so in theory, wouldn't a NC trump a SEC Title?
Either way, I don't really care, but perhaps the Big 6 should revise the criteria.
How many playoff appearances would it take to trump a SEC title? I would rather go to the playoffs 10 out of the next 20 years than win 1 SEC Title. Heck I would rather go to 2 playoffs instead of 1 SEC Title. Getting to the dance is half the battle.. but then you have to win when you get there.
Just my two cents, which isn't worth much of anything.

Can you read your own post? You talked about basketball.
If you want to talk football, when was the last time Texas beat LSU in football? When did LSU last beat Texas?

If anything, that alone doesn’t bode well for the rest of the league for future SEC greatness

You don't just get a free pass into the Big 6. If you want to join, you have to prove you belong by winning the league.
