You know, the year before Sarc went to Texas, he was going to take another job. He went to Saban about it and Saban told him

quote:

No. I think you'll do fine here as the next Alabama coach

Then the next year Texas offered and the rest is history.

It would be really interesting to be able to hear Sexton making deals during these times. Just to be a fly on the wall

You’re really putting yourself out there with that. I hope you’re right though.

Boz is just passing what he's hearing. Which we all know could be one of many smokescreens Byrne put out. If he's wrong, it's not his fault. He's doing us a favor by not trying to be a vague and play guessing games.

It's all just rumors until it's announced.

Man is not looking healthy these days...

Twitter video of Sexton walking into Mal Moore

LIP READERS, what does the staffer say during the exchange at the 10 second mark!??!

Sexton stops dead in his tracks when the staffer says something...

The more I think about it, I think if Saban calls sark and says I really need you to come be the coach at Alabama, I think he will do it for the man that essentially gave him his life back. He always talks about Saban with high regard and true emotion. He feels like he owes him and he really does so I can see it from that angle

I would be really good with that.I heard Aaron Suttles just say on the radio that Lane Kiffin is not an option so I hope it’s Sark!

It would be an extremely similar path to the one that Kirby took to his first HC job, just on a MUCH more condensed timeline: Kirby: Went to school at UGA 1999 Georgia (admin. asst.) 2000 Valdosta State (DB) 2001 Valdosta State (DC) 2002–2003 Florida State (GA) 2004 LSU (DB) 2005 Georgia (RB) 2006 Miami Dolphins (S) 2007 Alabama (AHC/DB) 2008–2015 Alabama (DC) 2016-present UGA (HC) Schumann: Went to school at Bama 2008–2011 Alabama (SA) 2011–2014 Alabama (GA) 2016–2018 Georgia (ILB) 2019–present Georgia (co-DC/ILB

If I remember right, Schumann was Kirby’s first hire

He actually did save his life:
How Alabama's Nick Saban Saved Texas HC Steve Sarkisian's Life

I think they did a segment on it during GameDay this year.
