I dont know why everyone is shitting on Deboer. He's 104-12(25-3 at UDUB) as a HC & back to back PAC-12 COY. People are acting like he's a 2nd rate coach just bc he's not from the South.

High school relationships are everything with recruiting; the second most important factor is the coach's name. I don't think DeBoer is optimal in either regard.

That's not true.

People are expressing concerns about his ability to win in the SEC when he's coached to this point in Sioux Falls, Fresno, and Washington. It might not matter, but it might. Being able to coach up players is vital, but getting the players to go through a schedule like we have next year and win 10 or 11 games is another thing.

The Next Round via Matt Zenitz has said that Lanning will NOT be Alabama HC.

He was NOT in Ttown and was home watching Jason Bourne movies apparently

If you can coach at Fresno, you can coach anywhere. This is a fact because Jeff Tedford has done it twice.

Here are the Zenitz tweets:
quote:

Dan Lanning, who has been a popular name regarding the Alabama head coaching opening, is staying at Oregon, sources tell @247sports.

Reports last night that he was in Tuscaloosa were inaccurate.
