Tim has a way of saying a lot while saying nothing. I can't believe people pay for that shite.

The BOL guys are pretty keyed in on recruiting stuff, but whatever sources they have clearly know frick all about the administrative side of things considering they found out Saban is retiring at the same time the rest of us did.

That's exactly why i didn't renew. If lanning says in 2 hours that he is accepting the job, Tim will claim he knew, but was told not to tell.

The way Lanning stuff is leaking on the message boards makes me think it's definitely not him, given the way Byrne operates.

I subscribed to BOL between 2006 and probably 2009, but with the way Twitter/X has taken off, plus other message boards, they provide very little that you can't get at the exact same time for free. It is what it is. I still remember going into the BOL chat room during late 2006 while we were looking for our coach. Lots of hope that we could land Mike Leach back then in those chats.

To be entirely fair, this is an unprecedented scenario. I can believe everything and nothing all at once.

Two different pipelines plus athletes and their parents are far more loose-lipped.

I think it will be Norvell. Someone would have to stroke a huge check to get Lanning. And he has a good situation at Oregon. Norvell aint nothing but a winner.

Norvell is Gene Chizik with Cam Newton right now. He’ll lose 4+ games next year with DJU starting.

This isn't a basketball or baseball coaching search. This is a search to replace the greatest coach of all time at the premier football university. If Byrne can keep it secret, i would be extremely shocked.

Nothing has changed my mind, pretty sure the ball is in Lanning's court. I think it is whether or not Oregon convinces him to stay at this point.

Curious to know if he really makes a statement today.

BOL is chock full of trolls and certain posters who have been there a long time and like to kiss Tim’s arse about everything. It’s like a little inner circle in middle school.

See now this is what I would not do...

Get in a back and forth over Lanning.

He would be a yes or no with me.

Norvell had his entire team quit on him during the bowl game. He has a culture problem. Do not want.

Maybe, but I can also see Byrne landing with Jedd Fisch to everyone's bewilderment, while people who know ball kind of nod and say "you sly bastard".

I see a lot of reasons why people are against Mike Norvell, except the biggest reason not to hire him.

His name is Mike.
