I thought Ole Miss had taken pretty good care of him. Ole Miss' legit chances for a big '24 are certainly harmed with this.

We agreed to a number.

He came back and asked for more.

We said we’ve made you one of the highest paid RBs in college football we aren’t giving you more. He left and went to Ohio State and word is he’s making less.

I made some stupid mistakes in my late teens and early 20s. Can’t think of any that cost me $200k +. I hope he does well there and in the NFL.

Supposedly he overvalued the market and lost money. Tried to come back to OM for the original deal he had signed for and Lane told him it was no longer on the table. Went to Ohio State for a couple hundred grand less.

You guys are paying transfers more than him. It’s understandable.

Thanks. I remember driving down for our A&M game on Thanksgiving Friday listening to Richard Cross on Supertalk Miss . That was the first time I had heard their was an issue.Seems like Cross alluded that Ole Miss was paying (or whatever the correct NIL term is) close to a million.

Certain positions are worth more than others.

He was the the highest paid earner on the team lol. Thought he could get more elsewhere and was proven wrong quickly

He signed an NIL deal for 2-years, $850k(reportedly) early last offseason. He then had a worse season and demanded more money and an improved OLine before the season even ended. Both parties agreed upon a higher NIL before the bowl game. He then came back demanding more money even after having a very sub-par showing in the Peach Bowl. He was shown the door at that point.

There's also evidence that he's lost the respect of his teammates. A lot of reports of Dart telling Kiffin that Judkins was causing problems on the field and that he needed to be taken out. Video of linemen staring right at him and walking past instead of helping him up. Both happening in the Peach Bowl.

I hate to hear this. This just sort of confirms my view that CFB is going to be a mess for about 5 or 6 more years until someone steps in and puts some new rules in place.

Still,he's a heck of a RB.

Probably not, Bently is a good RB.

We did, but momma wanted more money.

We loaded up on Defense, which was a larger issue for us. Offense will be fine.

He's good but certainly not irreplaceable. He's about to find that out.

Nil is bringing out the "ME First" in football.

Credit Kiffin for being smart enough to put team first.

I don’t think his style suits the big 10 at all.

He certainly is. But RB is arguably the most replaceable position on a football team. The NFL has certainly figured that out.

the money part wasn't what caused it....that got taken care of but the locker room issues with him were huge - OL hated him and he cussed multiple guys on the line several times...Dart and OL wanted him gone - supposedly he wanted to try and smooth things over and Kiff said it's best we part ways

But money was the final straw. He came back demanding more money after they already agreed upon a higher NIL package just weeks prior. And he didn't exactly set the Peach Bowl on fire to warrant going back to the negotiating table.
