I’m sure you said the same thing about Peyton Manning when the Colts went 3-13 his rookie season and set the interception record in a season for Rookie QB’s.
He also had 3700 yards and 26 TDs when everyone in the league wasn’t putting up those kind of passing numbers. He was 3rd in the league in yards and 5th in TDs.
Conversely, Bryce Young is 29th in the league in ypg and 25th in TDs. Of QBs who have played in at least 15 games, he’s dead last in both. He’s also dead last in YPA. He’s been really bad, rookie or not

Tua has had a nice year. Jalen Hurts, who was on Alabama’s roster, is having a nice year.
Young and Jones are garbage.

And that bust Troy Aikman threw 9 TDs to 18 INTs his rookie year.

I started thinking his last season at Bama that Bryce lacked the physical tools to succeed in the NFL. Weak arm, too slight of build, too short to see over the OL and DL. I feel he's the most overrated player of the Saban tenure at Bama.

This was always my only concern about him. I've never questioned his talent, just his durability.

The Falcons QB is right up there with him

He looks bad, but I don’t think everyone adjusts to the NFL at the same speed. Some people take a few seasons.

Yes, BY is small and has a soft ball, but I'd give him another year to have any idea whether he'd be a bust or not. I think he could be a serviceable QB, maybe not a starter. Not everyone can be a CJ Stroud who has ice in his veins and is one of the most accurate passers I have ever seen. What he has accomplished is truly phenomenal and he makes everyone around him better.

Not good for Bama recruiting. I’m sure they’ll still get good QBs but, I feel bad for these kids basically sacrifice a future career for a few years in a “dynasty” that hasn’t won the title since 2017 and likely will not win it again during old man Saban’s tenure.

Bryce should have pulled a Luck/Leinart and stayed at Bama for another year. Would have saved us from watching Milroe play QB and him from being drafted by a godawful organization like the Panthers.

Take off your college football glasses. First, he’s a rookie. Peyton M sucked as a rookie with a shite team. Who is going to take this team anywhere?
Mayfield is in the playoffs this year and he started 1-5 last year with them and was cut lose. It’s a shite organization.
You and people like you are so gleeful and overreactive about watching former rivals do poorly.
There are Bama fans that are happy Burrow is injured. You are no better.
All of this. The people shitting on a rookie starting for one of the worst organizations in the NFL need to get a grip.

Mayfield has Evans and Godwin.
