SI
Tied for 7th
Michigan
Florida St.
Michigan St.
Washington
Cincinnati
Notre Dame
Oklahoma
6. Ohio St.
5. Tied between Oregona and TCU
4. Clemson
3. Alabama
No team has made more playoffs or won more CFP games, and the Tide has won almost 70 percent of the matchups it's qualified for. Since the advent of the College Football Playoff, the Crimson Tide has won three national titles (2015, 2017, 2020) and played for six titles in total, losing twice to eventual champion Clemson and once against Georgia.
2. Georgia
Georgia has made the playoff three times: in 2017, the Bulldogs played an instant classic in double overtime against Oklahoma, before falling to Alabama in the title game on a now-famous Tua Tagovailoa TD pass in overtime. But the Dawgs roared back in 2021 and 2022 behind a historically-great defense, taking down Alabama the first time and then destroying TCU, 65-7, to win its second-straight title.
1. LSU
It's all about quality over quantity for LSU in the playoff, destroying everything in sight during the 2019 season behind arguably the best offense in college football history. Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Joe Burrow led a 63 point performance against Oklahoma in the semifinal and in a 42-25 victory over Clemson for the title. LSU finished the third 15-0 team ever — just the second since the 19th century — against one of the toughest schedules you can play.

This may be the stupidest thing I’ve ever read.

You're going to set off the insecure Bama fans with this one.

Yeah... and the Blue Jays, Marlins, Angels and Nationals have the best winning percentage in the World Series. Nevermind they account for a combined 6 appearances out of 238.

I will admit that, although 2020 Bama's destruction of Notre Dame and Ohio State in the CFP was impressive, 2019 LSU's two playoff wins were absolute arse-kickings. I've no problem rating that playoff run as the best of all-time.

Hahahaha wtf is this trash

I could probably get on board with this if yall fielded a defense that year.

I can’t ever get a SI article to not crash before I’m done reading it. Absolute dogshit website on top of the dogshit content these days.

So 2 is greater than 9? Or 5 is greater than 9?
Interesting math by SI. Man that site has devolved into terrible hot takes just to get clicks. It's working. LSU rantards need ammo. They are happy to give it to you.
Moronic.
When you make the playoffs almost every year you're going to lose more games.
