It helped Texas Am because they were the only Texas game in the SEC.. that’s not the case with OU.

Let’s put it like this..

Next year is the first year of the CFP12

5 conf champs.. you ain’t doing that..
7 spots left..SEC runner up.. that’s not OU.. B10, ACC runners up..

That leaves 4… B10 will get 1 more.. that leaves 3..

Is OU better than LSU? Ole Miss? Texas?

See what I mean.

What is fascinating about the "OU is the new Nebraska" theory is that it makes sense to SEC fans.

The "Nerbrasky!" narrative is a narrative they invented amongst themselves entirely out of nowhere with zero understanding of how we recruit.

They have no idea what they're talking about and just pull things out of their asses that fit what they want to believe. It's amusing to read...

Your on field success is why it’s so odd that you often act as Texas’s toadie, bottom, cuck…whatever would be the best description.

Texas and OU are some strange supposed rivals. Always taking up for one another on here. I think I have figured out that Texas is the bully and OU is just Texas’s little toadie who does whatever they are told to do by the horns.

Oh yeah.....you got it all figured out Cletus.

Who is LSUs rivalry game next thanksgiving weekend?

Arkansas is the closest thing since Tulane left the conference so hopefully it's them. Not sure if they feel the same way tho.

OU has lost to 4 different SEC schools in Championship/playoff games since 2000. LSU, UF, UGA, Bama. Not to mention AU brought home a championship too.

That is what separates the SEC from other conferences. So many different teams capable of having a championship year.

They'll compete, but they wont consistently be at the top like they've been in the Bigxii

With the Sooners not being an aggy rival they only have one fixed game in Texas each year in Dallas.

They are going to have to go back to their Big 8 days where they schedule non conference shite like SMU, North Texas, Texas Tech, Houston, & TCU to get games in Texas to 'croot.

Winners are Texas and A&M. Lossers are the rest of the SEC. Less recruits are going to leave the state of Texas for other SEC schools.

Biggest loser will be OU. Nebraska comparison is fair. Top croots can go there now and be basically guaranteed a Big12 championship at some point in their career. Not so much in the SEC.

Why go to OU when you can go to Texas, A&M, LSU, Bama, Georgia, etc?

Texas will forget about the rivalry with OU as soon as they are playing Georgia, Bama, LSU, Arky and A&M. Going to Dallas for a neutral site game will be as popular as the Arky/A&M garbage has become.

I think what you're trying to say is since 2000 OU has made it to the playoffs and played for national championship at least 4 times, while SEC teams like Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Mississippi State have not gone to one such game in the same time period, which is 23 years.

A&M is basically in the same boat.

Their odds of winning a conference title dropped slightly but they were pretty close to 0 already.

The only difference is big brother is back to torment them and trigger them into excess stupidity all while playing the victim.

I'll name some SEC teams that OU has beaten in that same time period you listed:

Tennessee - twice
Alabama
Florida
Auburn

Next question.

The biggest loser is the SEC. It was a mistake adding OU and Texas. Thankfully, the egos and arrogance won’t get them far.

I agree, but there was more to our fall than expansion. Also, when you got nothing, you got nothing to lose. So no. We can only move up, if at all.
