Yep. 10th is about right.

Did you see Bjerk's press conference?
Why would any successful coach jump at the Aggie position other than out of greed or desperation?
But they keep doing it.
Which should make the average, ignorant, internet fan question if they have it all pegged right but I doubt that happens.

Because, if people were really being honest here and acknowledging how the landscape of college football is shifting, historical records means absolutely nothing.
Zero, zip, nada.
Tennessee has not been relevant in a quarter century but most folks would argue that they have one of the more admirable longer term program histories.
USC's Hesiman Winners and gloried history don't translate to much these days.
Nebraska. . . .nuff said.
Places like Miami and Florida State were total backwaters until the 1980s when they got real programs were created.
Any school with resources, focus, and appeal to recruits has a shot at building something special.
I agree. What you did last season or over the past 100 seasons means nothing. What matters is what you have today and what you do with it. Texas A&M is top 10 in the country in talent. It's a pretty prestigious university that has shown itself willing to do whatever it takes to win. What coach doesn't want that kind of support? Start with the guns loaded and raise some cane.

This is the most little bro shite I’ve read on here

Wow, yet another naive Aggie fan...
Hint: Bjerk should have been shown the door at the exact same time that Jimbo was.
Not an ounce of self reflection or regret for his part in the contract extension.

Why don't you ask the 2022 LSU Tigers?
And went 5-7 in the process. But you jump up and beat one decent team and the season is a success in College Station. Your program literally prints cups for a single win. That's why A&M will never amount to shite.

You asked how A&M is a threat. I provided an example that shows how a team with its head on fire can light up a very decent team when they have good coaching and the will to win.

Job = / All Time Program
Between pay, security, expectations, support, NIL, etc. its not hard to argue it as top 5.

Sounds about right to me
1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Texas
4. Florida
5. LSU
6. Oklahoma
7. Tennessee/A&M
7. Tennessee/A&M
Don’t see how it’s that controversial

Did you see what happened to OU last time they needed a coach? Same with Florida. They could only get Billy.

Did Oklahoma and Florida get rejected? Didn’t Florida target Napier from the beginning? I didn’t follow OUs search

"Lacking a coach" seems to be one of the traditions at A&M.

They got their coach taken from them.

How can it be only top 7 when it pays top money guaranteed and has top 3 NIL $?
Who cares about your competition. If Phoenix Online started a team tomorrow that paid their HC $13 million a year and top 3 NIL money then guess what, that’s officially the best job in the SEC

That's dumb. There are 2, maybe 3 teams that are better jobs than A&M: Georgia, Bama, and potentially-maybe-if you-think-about-it-really-hard-and-you-don't-like-maroon, LSU.
imagine being this delusional. Aggie hasn't even won a championship since 1939.

Texas A&M has all the expectations of Alabama with the football history of Ole Miss minus the 60s championships.
It’s a tough job. The only thing making it attractive is the money

Good Lord.
OP and posters on this thread sound like a divorcee in a shite apartment complex trying to convince himself that his ex wife living in the house he built is too fat.
Sad.

Josh Pate isn't nearly as smart as he thinks he is.
Winning tradition is a part of the equation and always will be. To argue against that is idiotic. If a job wins more consistently than another place then it's probably a better job.
It's like saying Texas basketball is a better job than Kansas basketball simply because they have more money/better location.

Best jobs in the SEC, based on the following factors:
Historical program success
Quality of facilities
Wealthy donors/NIL
Location near quality recruits
In-state or nearby competition
1. Texas- they rank highly in every category
2. Georgia- similar to Texas but smaller
3. LSU- the lack of nearby programs competing for recruits makes this a very easy place to win
4. Alabama- their historical success props them up, but sharing a state with Auburn and not having as many wealthy donors does make it harder for an average coach to win compared to the Top 3.
5. Texas A&M- would be much higher except for the lack of historical success.
6. Florida- on paper it should be a great job, but only two coaches have ever found real success there so it doesn’t appear to be as good of a job as one would think.
7. Auburn- would be higher if not for having to share the state with Alabama
8. Oklahoma- would be much higher thanks to their program success, but they are geographically further to a lot of top recruits in the Deep South.
9. Tennessee- Knoxville is not near a lot of quality recruits. Struggles the past 20 years also makes it hard for them.
10. South Carolina- should probably do more than they do considering how much talent is nearby
11. Ole Miss- per capita, the state of Mississippi is highly fertile in recruiting
12. Miss St- same as above but not as much historical success as OM
13. Missouri- it’s cold and overall fan support is lacking
14. Kentucky- ditto but also football is not the top sport
15. Arkansas- tough place to win. Not much instate talent and surrounded by bigger programs all around. Also relatively small population. Just not much to work with.
16. Vanderbilt- obviously
