Would you be OK with rotating the site of the SEC CG?

I'd be OK with that. Never been a huge fan of where the Georgia Dome is due to the fact there aren't that many bars or restaurants nearby and it's not the safest place to be after dark. Plus, it makes it easier for the POS UGA fans to attend.
Where could they rotate it to?
Nashville-nice stadium and I like Nashville a lot more than Atlanta.
Jerry World in Dallas/Arlington-really nice stadium and there's more to see and do, plus you don't feel like you're going to be assaulted there.
Jacksonville-Everbank Stadium-don't know much about this stadium or area around the stadium.
New Orleans-probably my favorite big city and there's a lot of history with Bama playing there but there's been a big uptick in crime there lately.
Miami-not really a hot bed of college football.
Thoughts?

I'm ok with a rotation of Nashville/Atlanta/Dallas.
Screw Jacksonville, Nola, Miami.

For Football - it should move permanently to Nashville because Vandy will never be in it

It should be hosted by the best conference record or just eliminated under the 12 team playoff format.
If we go on a playoff run, you’re looking at something like
December 7: SEC Championship in Atlanta
December 21: BYE or Home/Road game
Jan 1: Rose Bowl in Pasadena
Jan 10, on a Thursday: Orange Bowl in Miami
Jan 25, on a Monday: National Championship in Las Vegas
Who has time to travel for all that? Most of us have significant amounts of family travel during Thanksgiving and Christmas time as well.
This setup is god awful for anyone that isn’t retired with grown kids.

ATL-Nola-Nashville would be a nice rotation. I'd also like Tampa just because how easy it is to fly direct there.
I can imagine Dallas would be in the cards as well with Texas and OU. If this game was still being played in the GA dome, then I would see this being a legit possibility, but that MB Stadium in ATL is top notch.

This is what should happen. There's just no upside to playing the extra game.
It won't though, so I do agree with rotating the site between a few cities like the basketball tournament. There are 9 currently in use NFL stadiums in the SEC's geographic footprint. Atlanta, Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami, Nashville, Kansas City, New Orleans, Houston, and Dallas. Only using one of them, that isn't even centrally located, is stupid.

These games aren't for the fans anymore. A lot like the Superbowl, they could give a damn about the fans of either team.
They're media tailored money makers and tickets are meant for corporate entities. Fans of the teams are an afterthought or if they are thought of, it's way down the list of priorities.

you knew the fans no longer mattered when they put the championship game on a monday night, and left it there. second dumbest move in sports, imo. the first, tying the world series to a freaking exhibition game.
yes, i'd love to get it away from atl.

But yet you listed NOLA, Jax (a place you haven't even been or know anything about) and Jerry World (fyi there's no bars around there either)
Dumb thread

with the new stadium in Nashville, its only gonna seat 62k. I am not sure that is enough for the SEC Title game.

I think play at #1 seed home stadium.
They'll never do that, though.

New Orleans has always been kind of a rough city, no doubt about it but up until about 4 years ago, it was usually pretty safe around the Dome and the French Quarter. Lots of cops around the Dome and in the French Quarter. Not saying I'd throw my wallet down on the sidewalk and expect it to be there the next day back then but still, it was relatively safe.
Now, they have a soft on crime DA and Mayor and not surprisingly, crime (especially theft, carjackings, auto theft, etc) have gone way up. Because of this DA and mayor, and their soft on crime attitude, the NO police have had an abnormally high number of retirements and resignations and they're very under staffed. So under staffed that last year, the city almost had to cancel Mardi Gras due to lack of available manpower in the PD.
Granted, a lot of this crime issue could be resolved with a new mayor and DA who were serious about fighting crime. So, yes, NO could once again be a viable option if that happened.
Maybe it still could be if mayor contractually committed to bring in more law enforcement? Who knows, regardless, the French Quarter is usually a very fun, funky, quirky area with a lot of great food. Until the city gets their act together, it's going to hurt their tourism.

I'd be fine with that
Jacksonville isn't very nice, but ok.
Miami is too far and Nola is a shite hole

I live in Atlanta and I’d like to see other venues host it as well
Nashville and Nola both sound fine to me

That works for the NFL because the teams are also just corporate entities. It seems to me that the vast bulk of NFL fans care more about fantasy than any team anyway, so the actual game outcomes are an afterthought in that league. I don't see it working for college, where fan support is what drives the sport more than anything.
ETA: I agree that they should just do away with the SECCG but it will never happen. I think rotating between Nashville and Dallas would be best. Atlanta is a nightmare to drive around and has nothing to see.
