I know it's MS, but he looked pretty dang good today (esp first half). Congrats to the kid.

Was tied up today and couldn't watch. Guess I can't watch until we lose again.

Thorne did well and since I was directly behind the bench in section 6 and row 6 I saw Thorne talking with lot of the receivers. The rumors
of division seem unfounded.

Looks like Thorne is more comfortable playing SEC ball, I hope he has turned the corner.

He played well. Not looking over his shoulder may have had something to do with it. The receivers were making plays, which always helps the QB. I thought the OL had a good game also.

Let's do this 4 or five more times before we say he's turned the corner.

State has talent especially on defensie- but I think we are closer to them than A&M, LSU, UGA (obviously) and even OM.I think that helpe.

From an aggregate team talent perspective we're still above MS by quite a bit and around OM level. Obviously a ways to go to close the gap. GA/AL are top 3 and A&M/LSU are arguably top ~5-10 probably.

It goes something like:

UGA BAMA

A&M LSU

AU OM

MSU

Overall talent were on par with OM… but Dart is so far ahead of what weve gotten at the QB position.

Ole Miss is better than us and have better athletes than us all over.

I dont know what yall are watching but the talent comp. seems to be screwed up because of transfer rankings or something.

Their talent and chemistry is more formidable than ours on the offensive end by a metric mile, and as we saw them do on the defensive end, they are talented enough to keep us less than 300 yards total with two turnovers.

Ole Miss literally grabbed a QB we wanted in the portal and just stashed him. They also have the better DL.

They got the one true freshman on defense that was a five star LB that had his coming out party against Auburn. So if Kiffin's team is that untalented then we have to start saying he can develop players. Because I see our talent. Our talent doesnt sack the QB or put up 40 ppg.

Yeah our talent is more on par with MSU and Arkansas than OM. That's just the unfortunate reality we are in at the moment. That will change but it's not going to happen overnight. Portal will help some, but good teams use the portal as a bandaid not as a tourniquet.

According to 247 sports from 2018-2023. Ole Miss only had a class higher rated than ours 1 year, and that was 2021. HOWEVER, Gus and Harsin mismanaged the talent leaving us 5 times more destitute than Ole Miss. Several of our classes don't even exist. It's all about roster management, but we shouldn't ever step on the field with less talent than Ole Miss
