This is embarrassing. We haven’t recruited this bad since Croom
Arnett needs to go. Today. He can’t get the job done. Keeping him any longer only prolongs the rebuild and how long it takes. He can’t win with the senior team this season, he won’t win with way less talent next season and no upcoming talent after that. We know he would be fired after a winless SEC season next year, so might as well go get a real coach now

Giving him the job was a mistake.
Letting him keep the job is malpractice.

He completely destroyed Mike Leach's offense. Arnett may be a solid DC, but he has no business coaching an offense. Will Rogers draft stock has tanked. I honestly feel bad for him.

I’m just glad we aren’t last right now

What happened? MSU was getting aggressive with their hires now all of a sudden they just settle?

Don’t sweat it, Vandy will bale you out in the end. That’s the way the leftist over there want it.

Have you listened to his postgame pressers? He’s so lost it’s not even funny. It could reach chad Morris levels after this year

This is what happens when your leadership makes lazy decisions. I have said this before, but if this is the kind of lazy decisions we make for a football coach, it makes me wonder what other decisions our leadership is making that we are not aware of.

I wasn’t aware he coached offense. Pretty sure he hired Kevin Barbay to do that. Also didn’t know Will Rogers ever had any draft stock other than maybe a 5-7 rounder at best. While they did go away from the true air raid the offensive numbers aren’t much different than their 9 win team last year. The thing that’s biting them in the arse is the defense. Their offense is averaging 30.2 points per game while last year they finished at 31.6 but the yardage is down some from 392.9 in 2022 to 375.5
Defensively is where they are struggling. 23.1 ppg given up in 2022 to 29.5 so far this season. Average yards per game was 344.4 in 2022 to 395.2 so far this season.
Turnover margin has been pretty much even. +0.1 in 2022 to an even 0.0 this season

Reminds me of Mizzou hiring Odom in the wake of Pinkel’s sudden retirement.

3 coaches in 3 years is a bad look

Makes total sense.
It's not just your entire roster effected by a major system change.. it's the three years of recruiting the '24 class for that old system.
The '24 kids they want for this new system are already way down the recruiting trail and may have had a basic relationship with MSU at best when things initially changed.

I mean Leach died, and it was days before Signing Day. The circumstances were clearly extreme.
That said, it’s all the more reason to pivot quickly now that it seems to be failing pretty badly.
