But, but.... WHY?

I like a good salad, but sauteed yellow squash/w onions is fine too.
you could also replace the mashed potatoes with some good rice, and that would be fine too.

The main difference is the gravy used. However, they are breaded differently. Chicken fried is dredged in egg, flower, then fried. Country is double dredged in flower, without the egg.

Chicken uses a white/pepper gravy. Country uses a brown gravy.

Had an Ausie friend/coworker ask me what is that nasty white shite is on scones for breakfast. I told him thats biscuits and gravy and he just insulted all of America.

I would say you’re better than this, but that’s not true. Chicken fried chicken is chicken however

Nah, man. chicken FS is a chicken fried steak — that is a steak. Beef.

Doesn’t have to be beef. Venison works well too

But it’s definitely not chicken

Chicken Fried Steak with cream gravy. Sides of mashed potatoes and fried okra with biscuits.

Exactly. If the meat was chicken, it’d just be “fried chicken”.

Incorrect. In that case it would be Chicken Fried Chicken.
