What does SEC Country call this dish?

Bonus: White gravy or brown gravy with the fried steak?

The difference is the same as the difference between soft drinks and soda pop, tennis shoes and sneakers, or neutral grounds and medians

So essentially, they’re not the same thing at all

Google says: Chicken fried steak has a crispier coating, similar to a fried chicken leg, whereas country fried steak has a darker gravy and less crispy texture. According to Steak School

The only way that gravy should appear brown is the combination of whatever drippings it used and the massive amount of black pepper that should be added.

The main difference is the gravy used. However, they are breaded differently. Chicken fried is dredged in egg, flour, then fried. Country is double dredged in flour, without the egg.

Chicken uses a white/pepper gravy. Country uses a brown gravy.

any greens on a plate is just self virtue signaling

you have to tell yourself you did something right in a meal deep fried and smothered in gravy
