Been almost a week and the negative vibes here would make eeyore proud.

It’s downright depressing to read.

A good case could be made that it’s not as bad as it seems and there’s a lot to be positive about, but the analogy of pearls before swine comes to mind.

I hope you are right... But between the unraveling at the press conferences...

Look he has on the sidelines...

Lack of performance...

Deleting twitter...

Man, I just don't know. I haven't called for his head and like the dude... Hope he turns it around and learns alot from it to help in the future.

I'd still rather people be honest than pump sunshine any day.

If LSU is a blowout like I think it will be, this is how it will go the rest of the year on here and probably everywhere Arkansas related.

I think it's exactly as it seems.

We have the skill players to contend, but it won't matter because more times than not the play won't be allowed to develop.

The team as a whole is not bad, but the weaknesses are REALLY bad. The last possession against BYU was about as bad as it gets.

Been saying this the whole time.

I believe all the skill players could play most places. The defense has been pretty exceptional so far.

The only downsides are coaching and the offensive line. Which are two big areas to be gapped in.

Those of y’all who played football could speak to this better, but it sure seems like the “aw shucks” buddy type coach rarely wins big.

The competent guys who have to fight against being an all out a-hole seem to get the results.

that has been my experience, now I don’t know if sam doesn’t coach them hard or not, because how he acts to the media could be different to how he acts In practice. Kiffin and leach are great examples of this, they both joke around and have fun with the media or on Twitter, but at practice they can or would be a straight running a-hole if they needed to be in order to get the point across. And it’s not because they’re angry, it’s because they’re trying to show the sense of urgency needed in mastery every detail, because you only get 3 days of practice per week, there’s no time to frick around.

I'm now hearing rumblings of some locker room issues as well.

We drop this game on Saturday this whole team could spiral downward.

I agree. It was a one score loss to BYU, not a beat down by, say, Liberty

But I think the reaction is based on more than just the most recent game. See the latter part of the above

Sadly, this is going to be the new normal in the portal era where many of these teams are cobbled together with fresh faces and there’s less continuity than even pro teams have.

Everyone’s now a front runner. Win and everything is great, lose and everything falls apart and guys start eyeing the exits.

Even Bama is purportedly having locker room issues right now.

Mainly bc everyone thought that we’d at least have good Olines under Sam and that is the worst unit on the team. They lost us the game.

Pretty bleak outlook on next few games. Combined with poor results the first 3. We may not see a win for 6 weeks...but our coach can't handle any kind of criticism without being defensive.... that doesn't bode well for his players and mental toughness.

People are sick of the bullshite. The only program where this is acceptable is Vandy. Even Kentucky expects to beat the BYUs

Don’t know if any of this is true, last year around the same time it was everyone wanting Malik Hornsby in the locker room to start or something.

Either these dudes are super weak and fragile, which means that Mental Health over NIL Yuracheck talked about is a waste, or people are making up “in the know rumors.”

I feel like we're going to start seeing more and more upsets happen with the transfer portal. These G5 (even though BYU is a Big 12 team now) upsets probably will happen more frequently.

Though with conferences realignment starting up again it might happen right when those conferences become obsolete. But the SEC as a whole has really struggled with OOC teams this year, not just us.

A well coached team beats them 45-21.

Kentucky should have, they have more talent but bad coaching can level the playing field.

What cracks me up is people immediately jumping on the "Sam has always sucked" bandwagon, pointing at our shite performances all the way back to Bert.

Sam's our HC because he made a hell of a career out of being an O line coach and is universally respected. He was unquestionably a good O line coach at one time. Maybe he's lost it, maybe he can't be as involved now as he'd like to be for whatever reason, whatever, but that doesn't negate the rest of his career.

Yea it definitely could not be as bad as it seems, I said 10 games was possible before the season and it really seems like we're an offensive line away from competing for that, but it's going to take our Oline, Pitt and/or Enos getting their heads out of their asses for us to sniff 8 or more and as bad as those 3 looked against BYU, it def doesn't seem like that's gonna happen.

Plus KJ just doesn't look like his heart is in it half the time.

I don’t know what to expect record wise the rest of the season but I haven’t seen any team setting the world on fire every week that has played another team with a pulse.

Penalties have to be controlled or we won’t win 6 games. KJ is going to have to be cut loose and let him play his game to help give us a chance especially if we are going to give up 38 points to decent teams.

I saw many good things in that game and enjoyed watching it until the holds started happening and I knew it was just another Arkansas moment and we were done.

Oh well, turn the page…..
