Have they been forced to apologize or has the cuck Hunter even forced the situation?

Everybody acts like they're gonna get kirked the second they say something bad about the officials ...I mean wtf are they gonna do? Fine is a fine. In Bobby's situation, he's most likely not coaching in the SEC without some dubs, and if he sees the refs blatantly screwing us, and it's directly affecting his chances at coaching here (and making millions), why not tell it like it is in the post game?

Same with Yurachek. Ripping the SEC/refs may get him in got water, but hell he's already there and he would at least get the fan base on his side.

Got a lot more respect for somebody that goes down in flames rather than just turning the other cheek like Pitt did. Easy to say that from the recliner tho lol
He seemed pretty vicious 2 seasons ago and then flopped so hard the fan base accused him of being in a gay love triangle....I'll hold off on the "Brazile is a beast" train until we get into conference play lol

Yes, by all means, let's use the GOAT who was coaching at one of the CFB meccas as our measuring stick. ? Who, if one wanted to use some people's reasoning, you could say bolted to the NFL because he saw the writing on the wall with the drop-off from 2003 to 2004 at LSU. Stupid? Yes, almost as stupid as people acting like they 100 percent know what happens IF Bobby gets the job. It's a crap shoot no matter who gets the job.

Well that's how people look back on Bobby's time here, like he was the greatest thing we've ever had and ever could have. Not the case. We don't know how it would go hiring Petrino for the 2nd time but we for dang sure can look at how it turned or for Louisville. It's absolutely a crap shoot, but doubts are justified.

quote:

His first two years were with mostly Hootie players. What was his conference record the last two years? 12-4, only two teams did better.

Oh that's right, we always ignore the first 2 years of a coach's tenure. Chard Morris is undefeated then. Yea that's a great 2 years that followed. Still didn't win a division, conference, or national championship. Those were years 3 and 4.

quote:

Pure speculation to say he'd peaked in 2011 without any proof to back it up. Recruiting was going to catch up to us based on what, rankings? We all know, most players are going to see a drop in rankings once they sign with some schools and get a bump just by signing with some others.

Hey I thought we were going to the ship in 2012 before Bobby got fired. I'm just repeating what's been said here and everywhere else many, many times. And since Bob decided to be stupid and ruin it, we'll never know.

quote:

How? There have been plenty of us post about why this isn't true. Please take the time to explain why it is. Other than pointing the one, and only, losing season he had out of nine there.

I haven't seen any of you defending a coach getting fired after going 2-8 and losing the locker room. Yet. Although I'll admit I didn't realize he was 8-4 or 9-3 4 out of 5 years in his second stint at Louisville. But it's still a gamble.

Maybe, maybe not. Only time will tell either way unless you're some kind of modern day Nostradamus.

It's "maybe, maybe not". Dudes don't get sharper in their upper 60's, typically (Love you Rev). Hell, Hire Bobby, maybe he'll surprise me. Or maybe it'll be more of the same and I still won't give a flip if I watch the games or not.

Maybe we'll make a good gamble on somebody worth a shite, like Sumrall. Doubt it though.

Don't get me wrong, Bobby did great for us but it's not like he pulled a Nick Saban here.

17-15 in the SEC with a Sugar Bowl loss and a Cotton Bowl win, 0 Division titles, 0 conference titles, and 0 national championships. We wouldve needed a 12 team playoff to have a NC shot both years we won 10 or more games.

And by a lot of accounts we had peaked in 2011 and his lackluster recruiting was going to catch up to us.

That was 14 years ago and since then he hasn't exactly set the world on fire, but did set Louisville on fire his second go-round there. There are better routes to go than trying to revive past success with the same guy.

You guys half way clamoring for Hootie to be the AD are about as crazy as the ones clamoring for Bobby to be the permanent HC 2 weeks ago.

It's 2025. There are better options out there than rehashing coaches that had middling success here 1-2 decades ago. Win some fricking games and the pocket books will open. Teams do it with less than what we have every year.

Wanting houston nutt back within 200 miles of this program is asinine.

Also good to know peeps from Oden (check out my Hog Jaw location)

I've noticed that before and have thought to myself "Who the eff from Hog Jaw is a lawyer??" Lol...can't be too many.

I grew up down Southside, family still has the farm down there.

Didn’t y’all have that rubber basketball court back in the day?

I know we had an ancient wooden structure gym at one point that burned down I believe in the 80's, but never heard about it being rubber...but I'd believe it lol

Lots of those smaller school districts in that area have consolidated....Wickes, Van Cove, Acorn, to name a few. Just surprised Oden has stood up this long without consolidating with Mt. Ida.

Yea they did consolidate administrations with Acorn, but both still have their own campuses. Now the "Ouachita River School District"

Humor me though…did you go to Caddo or Mt Ida

I'm an Oden grad....that narrows me down a lot haha

I find this hard to believe tbh. Why the hell is he employed then if he isn’t allowed to make hiring decisions in our biggest sport? What is his purpose?

For the same reason Julie Cromer Peoples was put in the position she was. To do the dirty work and take the heat so the GOBN can do what they want without having to directly deal with the heat.
So a few weeks ago he said we're not positioned for a championship. Then today he says Pitt didn't have the resources he needed to be successful. And that our coaching staff budget with Pitt was towards the bottom of the SEC. But IN THE SAME INTERVIEW, said that we have a highly competitive package for our new coach, and that they're going to have the revenue sharing and everything else financially that they need to compete in this conference. Cuz after 5 years of mediocrity, for some reason our funds are flowing healthier than they have been.

Fire this motherfricker, please. He's either lying his arse off, in one way or the other, or has no clue wtf he's talking about.

I think he's saying whatever he can to try to smother the flames coming off of his arse, and he'll be gone in short order.

Hopefully.

I honestly see him as a bigger disaster than. Chaggy in the SEC.

How could he be worse than 4-18?? Damn that's some low expectations lol
Now we just need Yurachek to hit the road and I'll officially call it a good start.
Going through that and ranking everyone, makes me feel at this point the SEC is looking pretty good, 12 teams 2-0, SEC w/l 28-4. Ranking both the top and bottom half is really tough at this point.

And a lot of those were p5 wins and not just cupcakes..
I think they've passed us at this point.

We're both perennial mid-lower tier in the SEC. They seem to be slightly trending up while we're neutral or slightly trending down.

Only reason Id give them the edge is because they seem to have more optimism right now, while we're in a wait and see year with a lame duck coach.

Born in 96 didn’t really start following the Hogs until Petrino. My first moment that sticks out is going to the Sugar Bowl against Ohio State and throwing a pick to end the game after blocking a punt that we fell on instead of picking it up for an easy touchdown.

Mallett just casually throwing the ball back to OSU after we pulled a miracle to get the ball back is pretty much what told me Arkansas just isn't meant for nice things.
