Wanted to let y’all know that I lost my buddy, FinestFirst (‘79, from Cleburne, TX) early yesterday morning. He fought a 3.5 year head-on battle with pancreatic cancer. 66 chemo treatments + an unspeakable host of other shite. Never complained through it all. He was a US Army officer veteran and long time engineer for the Corps of Engineers. His funeral will be this Saturday in Vicksburg, MS. Toughest man I’ve ever known, and my best friend.
Neither one of us has been very engaged around here for a while. He really enjoyed being a part of this group, and I look forward to getting back into things with y’all soon.

This breaks my heart. Such a wonderful person and poster over the years. Amazing sense of humor. One of the OGs on tArk. Praying for his family, and I'm so sorry for your loss, OP.

Sam I'm extremely sorry for your loss and appreciate you posting this.
It's strange to say since I never met him, but he touched others just by being a genuine and good guy. Condolences to you, his family, and all of us.
