Just for fun I'd like to hear "Ms. Austin's" opinion on "Ms. Monahans"...

The guy that literally fricked round and found out? It’s not like anyone forced him into the worst part of the city to partake in the worst vice of the country. Literally could have happened anywhere if he was determined enough

Little Rock is easily one of the worst cities in the SEC.
I drove through it and was trying to avoid as many potholes as I could.
It is just an ugly and nasty looking city that no one has any pride in themselves to do just basic landscaping work.

As a resident of Baton Rouge area I can tell you that all of Baton Rouge is either bad or not far from it. The crime here is terrible and getting worse. It is New Orleans equal now.

I’ll never understand these weekly threads trying to put other places down to try to make yourself feel better about your life.

Depends on the criteria. Attended a university in sec and now live in Arkansas. Fayetteville great town to raise a family but not exciting for a college student.

It is Tuscaloosa easily. Not sure why this has not been brought up on page one.
Because it's horse shite and you know it. Everyone knows it's Baton Rouge. Even some of your own fans admit it in this thread.

But they got some damn good food there.
Baton Rouge is basically that gas station in the hood that sells joint paper and wife beater tanks at the register, but has the best tacos in the city.

I find it to be quite charming. It's a sleepy place for certain, but our gameday experiences there have been universally positive. And thems "good people". Starkvegas is far from the bottom on SEC road trips in my ranking
I did some Army training out there, Starkville isn’t that bad. It’s like a slightly cleaner Fayetteville with less crime. Austin is overrated but still pretty cool. But there isn’t much redeeming about Baton Rouge, except those fried rice balls or whatever they have there. Straight last meal material, they’re so good you almost forget that you’re in a flaming portapotty of a city.

I think some people are mixing up “shithole” with “fewest bar options.”
There is also a difference from being in a city with a university and a “college town.”
So I’d cut out the smaller towns and narrow it down to the larger cities.
For this I’d nominate Birmingham as it’s the headquarters of the SEC and is just a step ahead of Jackson, MS. It’s full of politicians, lawyers, and potholes. It also has been home of the bowl game of all bowl games… the Birmingham Bowl.

i grew up in new orleans and have my head on a swivel whenever i go in now.
Dont understand the hate for little rock-
Is that even an SEC town? Fayetteville, right? Not a shithole. Stopped there on my way to Omaha for title # 7. I thought it was quaint.

Year round is a very different criteria than gameday. I'd rather be in Gainesville in football season than Lexington but in June? Different story.
I got degrees in three separate cities in this list and outside of Starkville and Nashville have attended one or more games at each. The best cities I ever spent GameDay at were Gainesville, Austin, Athens, Knoxville and Colombia SC.
Norman and Colombia MO were the saddest.
I've been to Tuscaloosa for many GameDays and once you're 1000 ft from the stadium you might as well be in a quiet small-town with an 8 pm curfew.
I don't hate baton rouge but it doesn't feel like a college campus half the time.
