Yes. Mow grass on saturdays and wash cars on sundays. My dad is 85 and still lives by this.
re: Dems Say Stick With DSA Candidates for the Greater Good

Dems have evolved into the Oprah party. You get a free car, you get a free house, you get free food …. DSA is pandering to folks who feel they are owed something or don’t have the drive, discipline to carve out a better life for their family. Unless you are in the 1%, nothing is guaranteed.
I was optimistic about pribula leaving kU game last year. Then the offense turtled shortly after. Felt familiar to Cooks last season. I’ve heard both were injured. Hopefully, we are developing a serviceable backup. Whether luck or by design, Pinkel always had a qb in waiting on the bench and prepared.

Simmons is talented. My concern is Drink and his conservative nature, predictable offense at times. Hopefully OC will have autonomy. We’ve had a lot of talent on offense, but not sure Chase Daniel himself could overcome some of the play calling.
What color is the sky in your world?

Camped, fished the other side. Cabool. Beautiful area.
Hard to turn that cycle around if that’s all you know and it works. At some point, it comes down to individual motivation and parents. Public schools catch a lot of heat, but not much teachers can do if student and parents aren’t motivated. Like anything, you get out of it what you put into it.

5’3” 300lbs, taxes paying for my fudge rounds … it’s a damn shame.

USA has become the motel 6 of countries. No ID, no CC, no problem. We will keep the lights on for you. How this guy was elected is beyond comprehension.

Hate that POS.
Sounds good. Oh wait, the successful aren’t paying their fair share. Yet they don’t take anything in government assistance. Lower income shouldn’t pay taxes but should be able to take lions share of government assistance. Sounds fair for working hard and having initiative. If I was an immigrant looking in from the outside, current social policies sound wonderful.

Iran continues to be a threat. However, Dems, including Mayor of NY, all in on open immigration. How people support these folks and can’t see the concerns is baffling. I might feel different if my full time job was only collecting government assistance.
Never cared for Nixon. I really liked Ford. With that said, Vietnam may have been quite different if Nixon had remained in office. In today’s climate, folks can’t discern between likable and capable when choosing leadership.

Obama and Biden years did so much damage. God help this country if they even have a chance of election.
My opinion, I would say most aren’t against immigration. But there is a process. Unfortunately, the process wasn’t enforced and we are dealing with the aftermath. Unfortunate for those impacted and those enforcing.

Not an EV owner or fan but seems ridiculous. Pay sales tax, property tax. Shouldn’t that cover wear and tear on the roads? Not a fan of being taxed multiple times over for owning something.

3 channels growing up. Hated the nights of “the presidents on every channel” . Of course parents were glued to every word. Hate him or love him, major networks have obligation to cover. Let’s folks make an informed decision. Sad when reruns of family feud take precedent over president.

By most accounts, country pulled together to do what was needed during WW2. Sad to think about how the nation and media would react today.
re: Anyone ever reeeeeally stretched on a home purchase?

My two cents for what it’s worth.
Buy as much house as you can comfortably afford. If it’s a stretch on paper it will be more so in reality. You will be miserable after the newness wears off.
Buy on the lower end of any neighborhood. You can turn those quicker if you must.
Be prepared for increases in your monthly payment. The payment on my mom’s house has increased 30% in last several 4 years.
I downsized to a house half the size but able to buy it outright. Owning your home opens up a lot of options.

Growing up my mom qualified for food stamps working multiple jobs. She refused to take a dime. Didn’t have a lot of luxuries but we didn’t go hungry.
