What was the biggest beatdown ever handed out in the New Orleans Superdome?

I’ve always felt that place has seen a lot of serious, serious arsekickings. 1992 Alabama Miami, 2017 Alabama Clemson, Georgia-Hawaii
What was the biggest you’ve seen or remember?

Didn't Utah beat the hell out of Saban in the Sugar Bowl in the last few years?

Three I've witnessed in-person...Minnesota clobbering the Saints in their first ever playoff game, Nebraska hammering LSU in the Sugar Bowl in 1985, and 1/9/12.

That was nearly 15 years ago. 31-17

Wasn’t alive for it and it isn’t the biggest but Tennessee kept a Miami team with Michael Irvin from winning a title beating them 35-7

LSU going on a 35 to 8 point run against Clemson to win the national championship and cement themselves as the undisputed, greatest college football team of all-time.

Physically, this was one of the worst mismatches I have ever seen in a big bowl game. Richt went out of his way to keep the score down that night.
IIRC, the Saints won a Sunday Night game against the Colts something like 63-7 (2011 maybe?) and it felt like they took their foot off the gas.

62-7 drubbing NO vs Indy w/o Peyton in 2011

VT kicked our arse 27-10 in 1995
I had never even heard of them. WTF is a Hokie?
I was still in school and went with a big group for the game and New Years. Great time from what I remember, but a shitty game, which I remember quite well.
Bryan Still absolutely owned us all game long. But this was not the worst.. that would be the 46-3 massacre in the 1991 Cotton Bowl vs Miami.
By far the coldest game I have ever attended.

The Hurricanes also set Cotton Bowl and school records for most penalties (15) and most penalty yards (202) in a single game, many of which were for unsportsmanlike conduct. Partly as a result of controversy from this game, the NCAA instituted a new rule stipulating that excessive celebration would be a 15-yard penalty.
By far the coldest game I have ever attended.

1/9/12 and it’s not even close.
LSU didn’t cross midfield until the second half and ended up fumbling it anyways.

Montana and the 49ers beat the shite out of Elway and the Broncos 55-10 in the Super Bowl.

Might not have been the biggest score, but the Bevo Butt-f*ck of Uga and Georgia wont be forgotten ...

Alot of Colts Saints games

2003: Saints-21, Colts-55 (MNF Manning returns to NO)
2011: Saints-62, Colts-7
2019: Saints-34, Colts-7

Alabama didn’t score a TD until less than 5 minutes left in the game

The Alabama fanbase is fricking broken

This is the only answer.

LSU didn't cross the 50 yard line until the 4th quarter and immediately turned it over on the next play.

Not even close! That was a defensive game. LSU held Alabama to 5 FGs before Richardson broke away on that long TD run late in the game when LSU's defense was absolutely gassed! To call that game one of the biggest beatdowns in Superdome history is

Add in the fact that the game in T-Town was 9-6. That's 10 FGs and a late TD in 2 games. Probably had 2 of the better defenses that ever stepped on a field in college football.

Saints got beat down a lot in the 70s and 80s. There were a few playoff games vs Vikings and Eagles that were beat downs.

It certainly caused the biggest melt in Tigerdroppings history.
