Regardless of the sport, how long do you avoid the Internet after a devastating loss? Do you just dive right in to take the pain and put out your opinions or do you stay away for a while until the pain subsides, a least to some degree. Sometimes it might be a game where everyone expected your team to win and they blew it, other times it might be a game that you think you've won only to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.

I generally resolve to stay away for a week or more right after the game but after a day or 2 my curiosity gets the best of me and I sign on again, like I'm doing today.

How about you other Ranters?

I come back immediately and get it over with. I also get over it a lot quicker than when I was younger.

I normally just post on Arkansas boards instead of the Rant or Reddit for a day or two after a bad loss

It’s just a game. You need therapy.

Depends on what I’m doing in real life.

Was posting the morning after 28-3. That said, I took the day off work and laid in bed all day licking my wounds.

Depends on what’s actually going on. Usually still around.

Not necessarily staying offline altogether, but generally for getting over a loss during the regular season, football about a week, basketball a few days, baseball shortly after the game ends.

I just don’t care as much about collegiate athletics as when I was in my teens and 20s. Ultimately it’s just a game that I’m not even playing in. And the people that are playing are a lot younger than me so I refuse to grant too much emotional bandwidth to a game played by kids.

I survived the Chad Morris years. I'll post after anything.

Now, that having been said, I've cut back on my posting online in recent years. I'm the primary caregiver for my mother and that takes up a lot of time. Still, I try to keep my hand in when I can.

Win big, great. Lose big, well shite. You are a fan no matter what happens.

Besides, I'm mostly here to joke around with my various online friends and buddies.

If I was Bama, I'd never come back.

Ever.

If we didn't post after devastating losses, there would be no Carolina fans on the board.

Learn the reverse jinx method, then you can confidently walk back in and pat yourself on the back for predicting it.

Losses don’t affect me like when I was younger. It has more to do with how busy I am than the result of the game. Now sometimes I’ll specifically avoid gamecockcentral for a few days and let the irrational fans/trolls work their issues out.

I don't, because it's just a game and isn't important.

I get over losses and deal with them much better than I did when I was younger. I was over the Georgia game right after it was over. They had their chance and didn’t finish it.

If I stayed away from the internet every time Mizzou lost a game, I would not bother with an ISP.
