More fuel on the WW firing and then being hired at McNeese.

and we have at least two more seasons of this shite, Scott has dug quite the grave for this basketball program
I’m not even talking about firing Wade anymore, but you botched the replacement hire and gave him an absurd contract.

Great hire for them. It’ll be interesting to media reacts. Funny how one AD wasn’t comfortable with the optics of keeping Beard representing their university and another AD snapped him up

So at best LSU has the 9th/10th best coach in the sec rn?
Matt is gonna need business to pickup quick or we are going to be buried

Yep, the firing was bad but he managed to shite up worse with the hire and now ole miss just pantsed him.

Ole Miss reads TD for coaching hires

Well maybe someone else will be arrested for assault next offseason and we can grab him up or maybe Wade won’t get a show cause and he can come back ?

That would be a grand slam hire by Ole Miss (assuming there is some degree of booster support behind the hire). Nothing is 100% guaranteed, but Beard is as close to one as it gets right now.
Completely disheartening as an LSU basketball fan knowing we have NO shot of competing anytime soon.

This right here. Dude made a terrible hire.

Beard will put a choke hold on the SEC.

Yea I don’t see how anyone will get loose from his grip. He’s gonna have a strangle on recruiting Mississippi for sure

We are so fricked. Thanks to that fat smurf Scott Woodward who overpays for everyone.

McMahon isn’t overpaid. He’s one of the lowest paid coaches in the conference.
He just got a contract that guarantees him a decent amount of time to build a program.
It’s fricking insane to demand a coach get fired after one season.

I'm not seeing 4 worse coaches.
--- only a fool would argue ---
Chris Beard
Bruce Pearl
Nate Oats
John Calipari
Rick Barnes
Eric Musselman
--- pretty clearly better ---
Todd Golden
Mike White
Buzz Williams
Dennis Gates
--- these guys suck, but are they worse than McMahon? ---
Jerry Stackhouse
Chris Jans
Lamont Paris

I love WW but Beard is a much bigger deal imo
Hate Ole Miss but that’s a damn good hire provided he doesn’t go off the rails again.

Beard will be a good coach at Ole Miss. He is a strong believer in recruiting good players, not necessarily elite, who will stay the entire 4 years in school. His success was at TT based on these guys developing into a solid team.
