I heard ole miss never wanted Wade because there is still some speculation that ncaa is not completely done with the process. Not my info but what I heard

then do what Ole Miss football once did. Hire a young guy looking for a shot at any p5 program, hope for the best, if not replace him when the threat of sanctions passes and your job is more attractive
or you could have simply just waited out a toothless NCAA like everyone else did and keep chugging along.
Instead we're tied to this complete dud of a coach for a few more seasons

In a way, I feel bad for Matt. He seems like a genuinely nice guy. He’s just in over his head. He’s awkward. His recruiting hasn’t taken off at all yet. His team stunk. I don’t think he has it to dig his way out of this shithole.

So if you do fire wade you go young exciting coach not boring arse MM.
Then if young coach doesn’t work you fire him and hire the Scotty special.
