My last knife was supposed to be a simple surgery. I don't think it was "Simple" after all. I do believe something went wrong, like loss of oxygen during surgery.
I really don't know.
About to go under the knife again. My family are basket cases.
I may have a short time left on this wonderful planet and I love all you guys, even my Ole Miss peeps. I am hoping for a miracle and for you guys that believe in the power of prayer, do one for me, I really need it this time.
I don't feel right and I guess that's when you really know something is wrong. I want to leave you all with this and I realize I said it before....
Stop smoking if you do, it catches up with you. I'm not trying to preach because I did it myself. I realize my chances are slim but if I can just save ONE person on here then it will be worth it.
My wife died 3 years ago walking the dog, I was out of town. Heart attack. She was also a smoker, i'm not preaching as if I'm better than you guys. I'm just pleading with you who do smoke to think about the long term consequences, that's all.
Love you guys, I will either be back or I won't. All I ask are 5 minutes of prayers. I see people all the time where they say "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family" etc. i always wonder how cheap that is.
I'm only asking for 2-3 minutes of actual prayer that surgery goes right.
Take care, love you crazy guys. It's been fun, that's for sure.
You got 'em.
Going to see you back here soon.

I saw the title and had read your previous post about not being well when you posted it. I did say a short prayer knowing this thread would be some sort of an update but I’m a puss and didn’t open to read it til now. The reality of your post brings back some of my own personal scary/sad memories of those I’ve loved even if they’re not exactly the same but the realness very much the same. God Bless you, I truly hope the surgery went well and we have the the utter delight of reading more posts of yours and soon.

Prayers. My father in law died at 66 from smoking which finally got my husband to quit at age 40. I know that has probably given my husband many more years, I truly hope your message does the same for someone else here!

There is no wasted prayer and God is outside of time, so pray unceasingly. Your prayers will be heard and applied to those who are in need.
As a Catholic, I understand the "communion of saints" that Christians have understood for 2,000 years. We can as easily pray to our brothers and sisters in heaven, asking them to join THEIR prayers to ours, the same as Mullen can ask US to pray for HIM, and the same as we can ask any of our brothers and sisters here on earth to pray for us. How much more are the prayers of the righteous, and how much more righteous are those already in heaven. As Paul tells us, nothing separates us from the love of Christ- nothing here on earth or in heaven, or death. With that backdrop, here is a beautiful prayer, the Angelus, for Mullen:
L: The Angel of the Lord appeared unto Mary.
R: And she conceived of the Holy Spirit
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
L: Behold the handmaid of the Lord
R: Be it done unto me according to thy Word.
[pray the Hail Mary above]
L: And the Word was made flesh.
R: And dwelt among us.
[Hail Mary..]
L: Pray for us, O holy Mother of God
R: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ
Let us Pray: Pour forth, we beseech thee O Lord, your grace into our hearts, that we to whom the Incarnation was made known by the message of an angel, may by His passion and cross, be brought to the Glory of His resurrection. Through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen.
