OU will still be with Missouri still wrestling in the BIG12.
Have you got a link that confirms that? Also curious about rowing which I assume is the same. The last I heard and was able to google, this was all still unknown, but my googling skills are subpar at best.

Or does the sec schools form wrestling programs and dominate like they do in football baseball and basketball?

For whatever reason, I assumed A&M would be really good at wrestling. Extremely good. And incredibly enthusiastic about it.

Youth wrestling isn’t big in Texas. It’s popular in Oklahoma and Big 10/Midwest territories.

Why does Mizzou compete in the Big 12 in wrestling? Why not the SEC?
It’s actually due to the hard work of tRant posters. Due to all the “Mizzou doesn’t belong in the SEC” threads posted throughout the years, Mizzou has slowly started moving back to the Big 12, one program at a time. Pat yourselves on the backs folks, you did it

How do you expect Missouri to do at nationals this year? I'm not very hopeful for the Buckeyes. Too many injuries and some highly touted youngsters that aren't there yet. Of course, everyone is chasing State Penn.

i believe they have 10 wrasslers going, but they have to have a good day 1.
they have had top 5 finishes in NCAA tourney, but they havent had the good 1st day to build off of. 2 many guys losing to lower ranked guys and having to gruel thru the losers bracket, and losing out on points because of it.
I'd love to see NIL money put into Missouri wrestling. Have a very good coach, but being able to bring in top wrasslers would be a key to winning one.

I think y'all are too busy with Golf or Tennis.

Everyone outside Penn St and Iowa has no chance to win it. Mizzou along with Cornell, Michigan and a few others can trophy for 3/4. Like the chance to get in top 4. Good news is only lose 2 guy off the roster.

It seems like a sport for the Ambiguously gay duo. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Just doesn’t fit in down here.

Guarantee every SEC team has wrestlers on their football team.
Usually in the 3rd grade a lot of youth football team’s start having their kids wrestle. They wrestle novice tournament’s for a few years and then most kids quit going to tournament’s but keep going to wrestling practice.
It really helps offensive lineman the most. They learn good foot work and how to use leverage against a bigger opponent.

Kentucky had an excellent wrestling program that got killed thanks to Title IX

Most high schools that have boys wrestling have girls wrestling too. We have a few cheerleaders that wrestle. It goes by weight, so they wrestle girls their size.
In southwest Missouri we have girls only youth tournaments and there is a girls state tournament too.
A lot of scholarship opportunities for girls.

I wrestled from 7th through 10th grade. Fittest and strongest I ever was in HS. The best strength and conditioning program there is. Every football coach should want his kids wrestling. My high school had a guy, Steve Mordecai, who won state four years straight. He was a little guy and I think wrestled in the 100-132 pound classes from fr to sr. He used to hold the state undefeated streak but it’s since been broken many times over I’m sure. They’re still a very strong program. We got several old Bama mats when Title XI shuttered their program in the late 70s.

For the same reason UT and Alabama compete in the Big 12 in rowing.

Top 10 is best case for Mizzou.

Umm, no and I wouldn't say your programs dominate in basketball at all unless you're talking about SC women.
