Nothing on this planet is more volatile than the emotional state of 19, 20 and 21 year old young men. It takes an exceptional leader to keep a college football team focused - which is why Saban has had such a great run and Texas has sucked for over a decade. Even with someone like Saban, there will be ups & downs.

Outcoached. Saban is past his prime and on the downside of his career.

The NIL and transfer portal has effected Bama arguably more than any other school in the nation.. Alabama in the Saban era had a crazy amount of depth at each position and not having that depth has shown.. Top recruits used to come to ALabama and a lot of them would play special teams and learn the system for a year or 2 and then came in playing fast and confident. Top recruits are now going to Bama if they don't get their way right away and play they are gone.. No more depth equals forcing Saban to play players who aren't ready for his system and that has showed. Saban has to adapt to the new age of college football.. The new rules certainly even out the playing field which sucks as a Bama fan, but good for college football football.

We beat LSU twice, haven’t played Tennessee yet, and don’t have Texas on the schedule

Hey! How exactly is a rainbow made? How exactly does a sun set? How exactly does a posi-trac rear-end on a Plymouth work? It just does.

Seemed to me like they lacked playmakers at WR. Texas' secondary was quite mediocre last year (see bowl game where Washington torched us) and Alabama couldn't take advantage.

Did you see the games? The atmosphere that Alabama had to go into was unreal. Still, they came within a play of winning in each of the losses. Sometimes winning is not in the cards.

Georgia was fortunate to have its schedule play out so that its only difficult game was played at home.

It's always easy to spot the troll idiots who never played sports. Congrats for outing yourself.

Held Bama to 20 points. They weren't very good at all. It's why I say Washington was the best team we played all year.

For one thing we committed 45 penalties in those 3 games. It's actually amazing we beat Texas (19) and came close to beating Tennessee (17) and LSU (9). Worst penalty discipline I've ever seen by us all year.

Totally a troll thread, but...

#1 Penalties and being undisciplined.

#2 Defensive play-calling and preparation.

#3 SEC road games are hard, SEC road games against rivals are really hard, regardless of your lineup.
