I have some work to do. Nothing else will make your balls shrink up as quickly as a man. I talk a good game...

I need to do the same. But I sure don’t want to

At my age we do "pick ups". And pick ups can become fluid in definition. Lol.

I want to run the SLC half marathon one day. Only course I’ve ever seen that is downhill most of the way
You’ll get no sympathy from me sir. I’ve had hill sprints once a week for the past two months.

Downhills hurt more than uphills over time. I prefer a nice mix.

I suppose we all need to do the same. Holiday indulgence is taking a toll.

100 yards on the sprints. I upchucked on 8. I did 9 then called it a day.

Just the opposite for me. Actually they both hurt the next day now
Read a study comparing sprints to squats. Overall strength, muscle and cardio gain with sprints.

Assault bike is where it’s at. Less impact and same if not more effort involved. Of course if you’re training for a marathon, etc. it might not do the trick. From a pure cardio aspect it’s top notch.

Feet, knees, hips, and hands aren't what they used to be. Arthur be visiting me early.

I think my sprinting days are over. Sometimes, I pick up the pace on the way to the mailbox. I rest on the way back
Good for you Alpine.

I went to one of those running shoe stores that measures your gate and heel strike and specially fits insoles in order to sell you expensive running shoes. $250 later my Cloud On shoes feel great…like I’m hovering above the pavement. Back problems have drastically reduced.

I’ve exclusively worn ON shoes for 5 years now with 4-5 days of OTF and multiple 5Ks and half marathons. They are life changing shoes.

I've made the discover that the lower impact stuff = better quality of life for me. I guess around 48 years old, I'd always be in pain from 100 push ups a day or running. Something always hurt.
Now, maybe a 3-5 mile walk a few times a week and nothing hurts on my body. Unless I spend too long crawling around under the Jeep or bent over working on something.
Getting older sucks.

I went the other direction. I went to minimal shoes. The only time I wear cushioned running shoe is on race day.
Cut the 18 miler short to 16 miles today. HR 140 for 13 miles then a fast finish on the last 3 miles at HR 160. I’ll be 49 in a couple of months.
