A- Milroe
Just needs experience and for all the hype Richardson gets at Fla, I think Milroe can be just as electric. A true dual threat QB to give the defenses we play a fit for a change.

Richardson is a terrible QB. I do not want a QB like him.
I hope Ty wins. I like Milroe but he is not a very good natural passer.

Richardson is still very much a project.

Milroe is a major project at QB. It would be fine if we had an elite defense on the other side of the ball to handle the many turnovers and 3 and outs from Milroe's learning curve. Unfortunately the defense of Bama's past is gone.

How bout we wait on spring game and what they do in bowls before we tear one of them down. We were screwed after Tua into Mac Jones showed his grit and moxy in the Michigan game

A. We need a guy who can run because our oline isn’t going to improve enough to have a true passer.

Ty Simpson.

Actually I'm cautiously optimistic the OL will be better.
A total rebuild with guys that are more physically gifted is worth the growing pains IMO.

Glad you can see the future. What lottery numbers should I pick?

Ty Simpson was #2 dual threat qb out of high school last year.

Would have felt better if we had done that this past year

He doesn’t have Milroe’s speed and elusiveness though. Milroe is baby Lamar.

Except Lamar wouldn’t have thrown a pick against Austin Peay

I would love to believe that; but he has not done anything other than show me he makes bad decisions and gives the ball away too much. He fumbled twice against A&M and threw several balls that should’ve been picks. That was a hole game against a lowly A&M. Imagine a road game against LSU or A&M and what kind of disaster that would be.

And passing Milroe couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn, from the inside.
Who cares about elusiveness when you can’t competently do 80% of the main responsibility of a QB? When you are critically limited as a passer, you destroy the run game and the passing game, because defenses don’t have to respect the pass.

Man do I wish Milroe would move to slot receiver. He is a force… an absolute stud. I just don’t know if he can consistently throw with precision.

Milroe reminds me a bit of Anquan Boldin. He started at QB at FSU and moved to WR to get more PT, and then flourished in college and the NFL.
They look similar in stature, but Milroe is an inch taller, about 10lbs lighter, has a slightly higher vertical, and is also faster. He would be a nightmare as a WR.

That’s a really good comparison. Milroe is an absolute stud and would be a beast at pretty much any skill position. Problem is that where he is now, he’s a liability. He’s a #1 receiver or RB playing out of position.

Milroe has played enough in 2 seasons that I am pretty sure that what you see is what you get. 58% completion rate and 1 interception for every 2 touchdown, not to mention the fumbles.
We could have Kiffin or Sarkisian back as OC and a great defense too and probably lose several games next year.
