Can any team flip a switch like Georgia?

I fricking hate it so much.
They just don't seem to care, until they get an opponent that moves the needle, then it's hell, fire and damnation released from the heavens or some shite, I don't know. It's like Kirby saves his best sermons for certain games and they come out of the tunnel like the other team is trying to frick their sister.
Then the next game is like yawn, this football thing is boring.

Apparently Vanderbilt can

The UGA team feeds off the fans.
High school environments seem to get high school results.
I didn't catch the Kentucky game live (saw a replay last night). I'm not sure why we were running so much of our 2nd Team OL. I'm not sure if it was to get guys attention or if there are a lot of nic's that we are overcoming in game.

We feed off exciting opponents/environments. It’s also strategy. 4d chess.

It’s big game experience. Georgia players and coaches have seen it all. National Championship games, playoff games, SEC championship games…they know what it takes to get there and what it takes to win there.
They know how to take a team like Kentucky seriously and take care of business while also not blowing their wad when they don’t really need it.
It’s like sex. Eventually, with time and experience, you learn how to dish it out while holding your load until it’s the right time.

That’s why they generally shite the bed atleast once a year though.

I think we just play bad and could get burned by it. Don't think it is strategy at all.

The difference with South Carolina in back-to-back weeks against Florida and Tennessee was insane.

While the margin wasn't huge, the UK game was never in doubt. Why give a good staff like LSU's more film to study when you can win with vanilla? UGA has proven it can ramp it up when needed.

Georgia looks like Alabama did 2009-2017. I miss those days.

It really is.. the think it’s because we are so young.. except for Bennett of course.. not so sure it’s easy to get them
Up for certain games..

Alabama does it all the time.

The truth about the UK game is that Stetson wasn't playing well so we decided to just grind it out on the ground, play keep away, and slip out with a W. The plan worked.

I don't know. We have had an easy schedule this year. If we catch the wrong team when bad Stetson is playing we are going to get whacked

They flipped the switch the last couple times they played LSU, but there was a problem at the breaker.

I think it boils down to how hard it is to keep a bunch of kids playing at peak focus and intensity all season. Any SEC team can beat you if you slip and we’re all placing our hopes and dreams on a bunch of college students. Then you add all of the outside influences telling them how great they are, how much they suck, etc. Those influences definitely affect their play.
How many times have we seen a team jump up by 21 in the first half and then slack off and get beaten or challenged? That’s all attitude and focus.
Peak Saban is the best I ever saw at keeping everyone clicking through an entire season.
