I’m sure we’re all thinking it, but I’m gonna say it out loud

What if we’re hiring both the AD and his HC?

Not Leach. Please not Leach.

He’d be fun and interesting but his teams have never matched up well against Alabama.

I don’t think “matching up with Alabama” is in our universe of possibilities right now.

At the very least he could gameplan around our huge deficiencies on the OL next year.

I don't know enough about Leach to say how he would do here. I do now comparing MSU's record vs Alabama is not a valid data point for success

It absolutely is because every person in orange and blue wants Auburn to be a championship caliber football team. We know Leach will not get us there.

Our goal should be to hire an up and comer/unknown (like Tennessee did with Heupel) or someone that has shown they have the ability to build a championship program but needs the resources to actually succeed (Kiffin, Freeze).

Not saying I know the answer, but I can say it’s not Leach. We’ll be right back here pissed and sad because we can’t get through a season without 2-3 losses at best.

Leach is good at taking a middling team and in a game when their passing is [ON] they can look like world beaters... then the next game the QB has a rough start and they get blown out.

Kiffin
Freeze
Urban
Deion

Should be our start and expand from there.

I still think Kiffin should be our first play, but anyone on your list would be better than what we have.

Short drive from Starkville to Jackson.

He is bringing Prime with him.

Done deal.

Luke Fickell
Matt Rhule

Should be our 2 top targets imo

I’ve always said Leach is footballs version of a knuckleball pitcher.

Fickell can coach, but can he recruit in the South? That's the big question mark. Rhule has turned around a couple of teams, and we all know, Auburn is in desperate need of a turn around.

It's what UT did with White and Heupel.

But I don't think he'll bring Leach. Cohen was at MSU when Mullen was the coach there. Mullen is at ESPN. I would not be surprised at all if he brings in Mullen.

Mullen would be a big step up from what we have now, but I agree he is not really someone I am crazy about.
