I'd say Mike Price for Bama. Never coached a game but oh the fun we could have had. The price of admission would have been worth it just for the stripper poles and hot tubs.

But beyond that who knows what he could have done championship wise.

Definitely Croom for us. Was somewhat inept at any type of offense, but ran a stand-up program and no one hated him. Though, it's hard to hate a team that loses all of the time.

Houston Nutt…his hard on for the Springdale kids leading to the hiring of Muh-lzahn that started the curse of inept Arkansas coaches

I feel like Shawn Elliot would be the answer for SC. He was the interim head coach during 2015 when Spurrier left and he's now at Georgia State. Just and all-around stand-up guy, passionate about football, just wasn't the greatest X's and O's coach.

Coach O no doubt. Horrible record and embarrassment to the school and the community but the man really wanted to win and was funny as hell. Tell 'em 'bout it JoJo.

Jim Donnan. And he wasn't really that bad.

DiNardo

Bad coach, but he brought some pride and joy back into the program. White unis, Saturday night games, etc. He was even able to do some good work in keeping elite recruits that ordinarily would have ended up at Florida State.

I have to wonder if the OP was thinking about CEO when he started the thread

Jimbo wasn't worst by a long shot. Ray Goff in current times was the absolute worst. Dude even skipped practice so he could be with his mistress. If you want to go back a ways, Johnny Griffith is the only coach in the last 110 years to have a losing record.

Probably Bill Curry. Program was in a better place when he left than how he found it and would have played for the championship against Miami if he could've beaten Auburn

Houston Nutt for us also. He couldn't recruit worth a shite but he won two Cotton Bowls with Ed Orgeron's players before falling off a cliff

Sumlin I guess?

Definitely mismanged the program with running off 5 star QBs, some embarassing losses, and a losing conference record, but at the end of the day he had a .677 winning percentage here so wasnt a terrible coach like most A&m fans make him out to be. He just wasnt going to get us to the next level. We've had plenty worse HCs (Franchonie - .533 for example).

To be fair it did win y’all the west in 2006. The frick up that season was taking Mustain out and putting in Casey fricking Dick when Mustain was undefeated as a starter and Nutt started calling plays instead of Gus because his ego couldn’t stand that Gus’ system and QB were having more success

We have so many.

I'll go with Curry. Seemed like a splash hire, great man, but couldn't even get us above .500 on average.
