Kiffin has this year and a few more in Oxford. The turnaround has been historic but they haven’t won anything. Yet. Our AD gave him the keys and let him make himself the brand. Hell he did our picks on Gameday last year when he had a game to coach in 8 hours. We’ll also pay him 8.5 million a year next season.

The fact you're so angry because you know I'm right says it all. Think hard about it. It has at Bama, until Harsin how many Auburn coaches in a row went undefeated or won the SEC, how many coaches won it all at LSU? History absolutely repeats itself, you're mad because you know Ole Miss isn't part of it

I absolutely think we should go after him and make him say “no”. I don’t feel like he’ll come to AU because we have shite in our nest so much at this point but I absolutely think he’s they guy we start and exhaust all options with and then adjust if we can’t get him.

You're just wasting your time. He actually loves it in Oxford, even tweeting out #VelvetDitch several times.
The expression defined

Carter knows he has to pay Kiffin, unlike Pete Boone and Khayat with Tuberville.Tuberville did not want to leave but dumb and dumber refused to invest in football. Tuberville explains Pine Box comment

We will simply match any offer you make. Carter won't let our cash cow leave Oxford without a major fight.

Never say it can be a first for Ole Miss.

Let's not lose site that the boosters at Ole Miss were responsible for 95% of the violations and spanned 3 coaches.
Get in the car drive to Auburn. See The town, the campus, the new football only facility about to open, 87k seat stadium and so much more. Auburn is head and shoulders above what is in Oxford.
Auburn it's tradition and history is so much more than the 150 yards of a concrete path that takes 10 minutes to walk then the fun is over tradition.
This little brother competes for SEC championships and Natty's. Auburn knows how to get to Atlanta and does not accept mediocrity like you.
If Auburn wants Lane, they will get him. If not, Oxford, Ms is not certainly his final resting place. The man want's out.

Ok, you're right Sewanee will repeat it's 1899 record going 12-0 against Ga, Ga Tech, Tn, Aub, Ole Miss, Texas, A&M, N.C., etc. winning 5 of those games in 6 days. History doesn't always repeat itself.

Maybe. My question is, why would they not want him?

I always love college football banter like this. You're too dumb to realize how much of a self own this is when you figure out how far in the shithole your program is compared to Ole Miss at its current state. All these perceived advantages and you still suck arse.

Auburn will hire an "Auburn man", whatever the frick that means. It was between Harsin and Kevin Steele last time. Gus Malzahn was the winner the time before. Gene fricking Chizik before that. What makes you think the geniuses that actually run the athletic department(your boosters) will make a better choice now?

FWIW I don't think Kiffin is going to leave OM for Auburn.

The Auburn posters on this thread are hilarious. And totally out of touch with who Kiffin is now and what he wants to accomplish at OM.

Keep jawing. Won't change anything.

Tuberville made similar statements. Auburn will always have more money.

I really don't understand why more people aren't pushing for Freeze.

Hell, with his scandals, you can get rid of him without a buyout if it doesn't work out. He can recruit and he can coach.

Ole Miss 3 years ago is where Auburn is today. Why would Kiffin leave OM to go to Auburn and have to rebuild it all again.

Kiffin has OM in a good place and I doubt he has any plans to leave unless Auburn breaks the bank.

I kind of view him as a value version of Gus. Maybe it's because they were both HS coaches, friends and ran similar offense.
I just wish if that's who the PTB wanted they went and got him in 2020 instead of pushing the Steele plan.

I like Kiffin but not sure he's worth what we'd have to pay him to get him to leave.
We fired an overpaid coach less than 2 years ago.

And FWIW, I don't think there's any coaches out there aside from Saban worth what it would take to get Kiffin to leave.

People on this board were saying the same thing about Bianco and the Ole Miss baseball team. (OMAHA= Ole Miss at home again)
