I know its the last week of the offseason so my blind optimism is maxed out but this team is as good as it gets for us right? There's a nice combination of experience and talent coupled with a top 5 QB. We also seem to have competent coaching. Having all those things at once doesn't happen very often on the hill.

Now that the portal exists it will be easier to fill needs, but we are are no doubt in a great all around situation.

It’s a tough fricking schedule but I think you maybe right this is about as good as we can hope for. Up there with the 2010/2011 teams. Ball bounces our way and we’re looking at a 10 or 11 win season. If it doesn’t we could still be at 8-4 or 7-5. Tis the nature of beast in the SEC

Between Football and Basketball this is the most excited I've been for a sports season in a VERY long time.

Good grief, look at where we were a few years ago; I'll take 8-4

I would too, but for our and Pittman's sake... Would love to see him wrap it up with 10-11 wins prior to the bowl. Recruiting would benefit, Publicity would be incredible. Yessir!

There's a whole bunch of sugar in the cool aid tonight. Really tough schedule, I'm just going to kick back and enjoy the season knowing we're headed in the right direction.

If things don't workout, then I look forward to the basketball team dragging their nuts across everyone's face.

Our talent level is better, but not up to the overall level of Bama and Georgia. To some degree that gap can be mitigated with development and coaching but you can only close the gap so much there.
The other factor is quality of depth. We have made improvements there, but could still work to do there.
Bottom line, we've made good strides, but the bar is high.

There’s a big question mark on our D-line. If we don’t have a couple guys step up and be difference makers, that can be the difference between a 6 and a 10 win season.

Hunter is a great decision maker, and hired Sam, a great decision maker

We are doing the right things

in the past, we did the wrong things by listening to egomaniac boosters, and it's the egomaniac boosters who destroyed this program for nearly a decade

Jim Lindsay, just one of them, declared war on Jeff Long from day one. So how does anyone think Long would react? With a chip on his shoulder.

blaming everything on "John White and Jeff Long" is just the media kissing good old boy PTB arse

Probably around the time his dementia was setting in.

The boosters and other dummies are just one of many problems that caused football to be mess since 92.

Unlike the boosters at Bama who come together with other big whigs, throw money around and win big. Arkansas is the opposite.

Long fired all of Broyles former players at the BAC. So they were upset about that.

Absolutely he did.

Lindsay declared war on Long from Day 1. So Long reacted like a 17 year old lesbian with green hair and refused to take any advise from any Arkansas person, from the get go

that's Jim Lindsay's fault, and others, and it's the Arkansas "media's" fault for not telling the truth about it

Definitely a good time.

Just think of last year. Football was great beating the shite out of Texas and A&M, played an elite 8 game to go to the final four, played to get in the finals of the college World Series.

That’s a good time.
