TAMU seems like they should have one
(trap and skeet clubs, thanks Colonel Ingus) Need step up to NCAA level
VOLS are in the moutains, seems they should too.
(they have a club team, thanks Smokeyone) Need to step up to NCAA then.
Hogs are in the hills, seems a good candidate as well
Rest of the SEC if full of trucks with gun racks
Any thoughts why more SEC schools have no team?
Mizzou I get, they are too triggered already.
Vandy I get, they are in the library.
Utx I get, they prefer dildo's to guns.

Haven't seen much of this since the 80's if I'm being honest.

A&M has trap and skeet and the Corps has the marksmanship unit but both are club level sports not NCAA.

LSU should have one with all the shooting that goes on in the area.

We used to at A&M. I believe the university quit supporting it in the 90’s. Still have a trap and skeet club that has won the national championship the last two years. The skeet team is a club sport...the members and alumni provide its support.

If both VOLS and TAMU have high ranking clubs, any demand to move up?
Rebs have all female and UK is coed so if Vols and TAMU bumped up that would be the 4 needed to make it an "official" SEC sport. With Utx and OU joining, rowing will become an official SEC sport before Rifle.

Ole Miss has Women's Rifle. They finished #4 in the nation this year.
And what good southern boy is gonna waste all that shooting at something they can’t eat?

Here's the full list of NCAA rifle programs:
Very few programs have one, and a good number are women only or military academies or military schools. It seems pretty rare at large, P5 universities - looks like only 6 Universities with P5 football programs ALSO have rifle teams at the NCAA level.
FYI, Alabama does have a clay shooting team: Official Site

That was the good old days. Nobody puts their rifles/shotguns in a gun rack anymore. You’ll walk out to your truck to find your windows busted and your guns gone.

Alaska-Fairbanks has a multiple National Championship program in both Mens and Womens. And a live match is one of the most boring sporting events I’ve ever attended.

There used to be a rifle range under the visitor's section on the East side of Kyle Field. Took riflery there as a PE class back in the '80s.

UK had a Pancake Breakfast for one of their meets and several hundred fans showed up. Seems it was a good time for all

VMI and The Citadel have both a men's and women's team and they are all 4 ranked in the top 25. That's pretty studly.
